is it only me or you are being chaste behavioral on this? omfg seriously, we can only see a naked back of the woman... obviously it's the fact that she's in front of an old computer which is the most relevant of the picture. Is very silly to even think of this in term of sexist/men club @@

Can't you bring them together in one header, like Adam and Eve?
Posted: 14 Mar 2015, 13:13
by 7bit
Yes, one moment please ...
A link to the original would be nice, BTW ...

This one looks best, but maybe I should remove the 4 extra guys.

Now we're getting into art. Eve is eating the apple! What does this mean...

If you're going to actually make a header out of it, use the original:
(a clearer one than the one I used)
adam and eve brochure small.jpg
...and please only put
one Adam. I hate super-symmetry.

It says small, I want the big one, or just a link to the source!

There doesn't appear to be a large.

This is the crappy one I used:

Yes, now we're getting somewhere.
The "I" covers up Adam's Apple though. (so to speak)
Maybe if Adam was on the right, like this one:
Edit: Hey! You did exactly what I was saying, at the exact time I said it.

Hear hear! The more natural the better.

No. But this is:

Nice one!
BUT needs a more natural clone job on the left background, and that missing desk corner is icky…

As I said, this is not about too much skin, it's about the context in which it appears here, which is advertising of a computer to men. I don't know if you knew this, but the only place on earth where women sit naked in front of a 70's computers trying to seduce someone with an apple is a men's fantasy.
There's no problem with men's fantasies, but using one as a header image on DT subtly says that it is a men's club, and I don't see why we would want that.

Agreed! We do have female users here at DT. Let's ask them about this fun little header! What does it say to you ladies? And I'm not a feminist or anything, trust me.

We have gone wicked in seebart's absence.

What torrent have I unleashed upon an unsuspecting rectangle? The horror! The horror.
Anyway, I like the original "Eve" picture because of its campy 70s perfection. The Eve advert is silly in an Austin Powers kind of way, which I admire. It's so bad it's good!
But I won't keep it in permanent circulation. I don't know if I'll retire it forever after a little while (remember the purple Kishsaver?) or bring it back next Valentine's Day.
The Adam & Eve combo is a nice idea. He's more of a fool than she is! But I need one that looks right. 7bit's fondness for duplication and horizontal flips shall not pass.

Generally: It would be nice to keep all non-duplicates in the list, so at special days, they can be re-used.

Matt3o's pumpkin would be a great one to bring out for Halloween - but it's so great that I don't think it'll be out of the active list before then.
