I think this is an expensive rubberdome or laptop crosswitches one right?

Ooh, an M4, I believe it is just a rubber dome, albeit a neat variation of it called the
buckling rubber sleeve.

The Yamaha MSX board is definitely Alps dome switches. The keycaps are nice sculpted spherical (doubleshots?) with cyrillic legends, so someone might be interested, though they’re pretty yellowed, and with all the modifiers missing, they aren’t going to match other keycap profiles, so maybe not.
I also like this Yamaha MSX Alps keycap color scheme:

I passed up NEC Cream Ovals at Weird Stuff in Sunnyvale, CA a couple of times. They may still be there. These are linear switches, pretty smooth with a subtle bump when the switch is made. As with all NEC Oval switches be careful when pulling key caps to not damage the switch body.

I'd love to see a review on NEC Cream Ovals, we got plenty of infos on NEC Blue Ovals. Pretty rare switch in these parts.

It's mine, and they are the plastic ovals like you see in other NEC boards. The switch is even aptly named "Nec Oval" since they've only really been found in NEC boards.

Add some more infos to our wiki when you have time, thanks.

OK I hear you, of course there is no rush in this. I have been very wiki lazy lately.

I didn't mean that as a criticism, by the way. I'm just voicing my confusion. I'm still getting to grips with identifying vintage gear.

The great find is the description:
I think the problem may be a solder trace, rather than the keys as it's intermittent. It's like 10 different keys or so. Who knows. Probably you do. I'm tired. AS IS.
If you're reading this you know what it is. It's one of the most loved mechanical keyboards in the world, and I believe it to be a take out from the Northgate offices in Minneapolis. Fix it. Give it a home. Kill an intruder with its sturdy backplate. Scare mice away with it's soothing clacks. Never be afraid again.

I just love the title of this listing. It comes with
THE blue Alps switches. Rest assured. You're getting them? Yes, you!

I was wondering if anyone else saw that. THE Blue Alps.
I feel like the sellers are getting just a bit greedy, no? After finding out those troll bidders weren't going to pay $500 for their keyboards, they relist them at well over 3x what the actual market value is.
I implore everyone (users and lurkers alike) not to buy them at these prices and let the artificial bubble finally burst.

Me?

I already got exactly that one but did not pay $ 33333.0000000.

And yes it does have THE blue Alps.

You know those, not the other ones.

Not taken as such mate

.
As for that Focus, we'll see if it actually goes for that price. There is more than enough supply that if people just pass on expensive boards, the price will come down eventually.
