Yeah I knew you'd like that one. It's the infamous "naked cage" again. Yeah those caps...I'll get addicted to keycap sets eventually too.

This is an awesome shot, but I just wish the bottom wasn't cut off.

Yes another crop of that is overdue. Either Madhias needs to do it or give me his original files.

The last one's nice! Fits good to the logo and all the other buttons.

Thanks, I preferred my wider crop of the original image too. (No surprise!) So it and the tasty red shot are now in rotation. Tip of my hat to Seebart for suggesting the blues of course.
I like Andy's battleship plate. But that background is horrible! No way to crop it without the ugly shining through. Shoot it somewhere else.

I like Madhias'
busy desk full of Round 5 shot… now to make a decent crop.

That rotated one's beginning to work.

The first and the second one are really great!

Thanks but they don't work right yet. I need to tweak them. My favorite is the Motorola. Those yellow caps.

The lighting's bad on that shot, though. It could really use another go.
The Xerox stuff is nice. But try zooming out as far as you can, and then some. The various secretary shots we already have as headers play all sorts of tricks to get the width.

where was that site where I can see which header images are currently in use?

I'm pretty happy with the current lineup. Way more of them than back before I took charge. And pretty too.
Keep 'em coming!

a quick shot from my NKRO G80-100HAP (week A20)

A bit harsh. Needs softer light. And maybe a wider shot. All these super closeups don't really do it for me. Maybe if the camer was down a bit and shooting from an oblique angle…

true, but I've tried to capture in inside of the switch

the light is PITA to ajust on my oldie Sony V3 grrr
edit: another one!

Second one's better. Is that dirt on the plate, though? High contrast dirt ist verboten! Don't want to dirty up everyone's screens.

the flash highlights all of the "microscopic" dirt indeed!

Yeah, it's tricky working with flash light. I'm lazy and just wait until daylight instead! It's generally softer and much more forgiving.

Bounce the flash of course!
Makes for way softer light, and doesn't have to be too sophisticated. Even with the popup flash and a couple of business cards you can have nice results! Or diffuse, a bit of tissue paper in front of the flash...

Ah, of course. See, everybody knows more about flash around here than me. I seriously never use it. But in long north winter, I really should.

I'll admit I'm more flash dependent than I should, I mean, have you seen the sunshine we get over here?
But the control you get, it's addicting!

Greeks and Portuguese do enjoy the sun! but we stay all day at beach and only arrive home on midnight to take photos of our keyboards lol :p
