Snagged me an IBM 5140 (SKCM browns) for a slightly higher price than I’m comfortable with, but I need those browns and the prices have been insane lately so I went for it at a little over 2.5 USD/switch shipped :-/

Got it over the weekend. Always wanted one of these (Cherry G80-3700).
Few scratches but overall it looks good thus hesitating if I should use it to start a project on making it somehow wireless.

Nice job on converting them, how is the sound?

NMB RT8255 CW+ with split spacebar and clicky space invader switches...one of my favorite switches of all time plus no lumbering spacebar. Needs a bath though. Not bad for $50 shipped.

I was about to cringe when I saw the single-unit Backspace key, then I noticed the big one by the spacebar. Now I wish all keyboards had that.

One for tiny mistakes, the other for correcting major blunders.
Anyway, big ass enter key + ANSI left shift = WIN in my book.

You're gonna hate what I'm having done to a certain F AT keyboard... the
TIE key, in particular.

No PCIe option in your setup?

I could've gone PCIe but it tends to be more expensive and I didn't want to deal with the annoyance of setting it up. I might clone my current SSD to this one and just continue on with it, but I'm thinking of doing a fresh OS install.

I actually went with the PCIe option to see how fast it can be and it really is

.
For the last 6 years I've been using the normal Sata connections and it works fine but when you go PCIe - everything changes. Once you go into this area of speed, going back is never on the cards for you.
Although you have to set up the install correctly to really see this speed working.

So preliminary testing: WOW. This SSD is no joke. It completely blows my old one out of the water! The CloudSpeed line is optimized for high read speeds in a server environment though, so perhaps not wholly surprising.
P.S. I am on the X99 platform so I might as well be running a server.

Congrats, my dude!! All things considered that board looks like it's in pretty good shape! Cable seems like it's excellent!

Very nice. That cable looks super shiny as well.

I recently realised that using Facebook's Marketplace and various buy-and-sell groups where people mainly sell antiques and old junk is, at least where I live, untouched territory. I just threw out a few "WTB"-ads, and before you know it there's offers in my inbox!
So, I'm waiting on another AEKII which I got for roughly $45 including shipping, and a lot with what I'm guessing is a Tulip 9151B, NMB RT-102 and two other which I'm not completely sure of (could be rubber domes for all I know). The latter I got for roughly $70 including shipping. I could be wasting my money, but it's always fun to wait for the mail to arrive!

The first one is NMB slider over rubber dome, the second two are

That Enter key is so odd, we need a new acronym for it — "MAE" doesn't quite cut it (but I can't think of anything better than "UTMAE" at the moment).

if you manage a wireless 3700 that can still power another board via the passthrough I would pay any price for one. good luck
