Funny, now we finally get to see one of the actual Highscreen computers. There have been several sightings of Highscreen-branded Focus boards, but I think this is the first time we've seen one of the actual PCs.

The board isn't in the best of conditions (seen fairly substantial use it seems, and it's not clean), but it does still have the detachable dust cover.

I remember having informed myself about them because of the name - I wanted a portrait mode computer screen

Highscreen PCs are nothing to get excited about I'm afraid. House brand from Vobis, a German computer chain (also in the Netherlands). Whenever they released a new one, it was just a rebranded random OEM PC from Taiwan, whatever company they struck a deal with at that moment in time. Run-of-the-mill. Except, sometimes, the keyboards.

I remember Vobis, I bought a PC there 1999. Quite expenise even by todays standards, but it had a CD-ROM! This is not the PC but this gives you an idea of the pricing:

This one has buckling rubber sleeves if it's like mine. With the right size springs you could make it linear.

Ah, I think that's one of the two that got bought after mine, so probably a resell. Should still be in outstanding condition though. Definitely buckling rubber sleeves, basically feels like slightly harsher Topre.

I saw both of those but there was an M0116 in there recently that was even more extreme! Still, I bet they would retrobright just fine.
