I have an IBM 5110 with this disk drive. It's super heavy and made it in pieces when shipped :( The 5120 doesn't need this drive as it has them built in.

Very nice, I've been wanting one of those for a while. Does it have a normal connector for use with other computers?

You're not the only one who would like it. :evilgeek:

It uses a RJ connector but PS/2 protocol, so you need some rewiring and perhaps a spare PS/2 connector.

No, but it is PS/2, so you can chop the end of the connector and stick a PS/2 connector on the end.

Seriously...White Alps was like the Cherry MX Blue of the 90's. I wish they had kept Blue Alps around for a longer run :/

Edit: I suppose Cherry MX Blue was also the mx blue of that period since they were popular as well...whatever, my point still stands.

too bad about this one =P

Looks like the connector is a 5-pin DIN. Wonder if it's the normal one or the weird 270 degree terminal one.

Are they that much worse? (Compared with simplified/clones?)

No no, they're great - at least in good condition (and preferably pine white Alps), I just meant they were in everything.

No, they're not that much worse depending on the condition of course.

Ohh shit it's the original keyboard and numpad from the Macintosh Portable!!! AEK caps and SKCM Salmon it looks like. Found a picture of one without a cap. I've always wondered what these were. Good prices too! I would want it but I have no need for it. OEM AEK 60% in a way

This keyboard is on my list of keyboards to take pics of. I'll have to check if my Mac Portables are all the same. I have the numpad too and, if I recall correctly, it's got different coloured switches.

Looks like you got the last one.

Either way, all gone.

This black M13 was made on the same day as mine in 1997. It was made only 303 units before mine! Quite a bit more worn than mine too though...

I saw that - $117 or something crazy. Makes me feel better about that kb-101a that likely doesn't work. Also, he posted another one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Clicky- ... SwTM5YucYT

this one has an almost complete set of caps!
And this just went for $160 shipped.

Fishy listing alert - should be pretty obvious though. The two photos actually showing a Model F AT appear to be from different boards and the 3 photos in between are of a different model of keyboard entirely. Seller has low feedback too.

True, but her (I presume) ebay name is one letter away from being OilyCowGirl.

And couple of letters away from OilyCowGrill.

I wouldn't trust someone from washington with a cowgirl nick for all the reputation in the world.
