agreed.
Not worth it for sure.

Also - notice the Mitsumi label on the back of the keyboard hehe. I think you'd be right.
And hellll no to $310 for questionable blue alps in a supremely yellowed NTC of a fairly common variety as far as blue alps boards go.

I was under the impression that the blue alps hype could not be stopped
Seems that the set of 'prices one would pay for a shitty looking blue alps' keyboard has an upper bound. Unsure if the same thing could be said for a pristine specimen.

I have offered 110 he replied 250. I offered 150 he has not replied yet. Let's see.

I wouldn't even pay that for it honestly. The condition is pretty poor.
Anyway does anyone know where I can get a cable for a model f 84 key? Scored one for 50 pounds but it has no cable

Grossly exaggerated price. At least retrobright the board first, you dummy.

150 is too much I reckon. People shouldn't really be buying blue Alps boards in conditions like this IMO.

Thanks for the advice guys, I remove my offer.

he told me in PM that he will send me thoose kbs for a fee (told him 15€s)
See if I can find something interesting there. BTC Dome with sliders are what I can almost certainly always sell if nothing else that will bring the cost back.
Do you think there is anything worth something there?

I've seen this keyboard several times as this listing has been up for a while - I've been meaning to ask - what switches are in this? They look like Futabas but the slider and housing are not the same.

Edit: woops, thought I was in the identify keyboard thread - oh well.

OK I have found some 50 keyboards in an Italian market, I think there are some interesting findings like some IBM or Chicony but overall to me they all look rubberdome, what do you think? Are you interested in any?

There's only one mech that I see in there. The HP, I think, is Fujitsu leaf spring. Not positive though.
Edit: I'm wrong.

Suppose there's a slim chance the Apple M0487 could have those rare SMK spring over membrane switches, but it's not like those are great anyway - I think they're just uncommon and thus somewhat interesting. Wow, I had no idea the Zenith logo got even more lame.

Really, those things are rare? They shouldn't be desirable, they pretty crap switches :p

You talking about the gray printed one? I think it actually looks pretty cool! It's very "Legend of Zelda" looking!

Those HP's are domes with their own proprietary protocol. Useless. I own one.

Exactly, which is why I made sure to tell people I don't mean GOOD rare hehe. And Gainsborough, you might be right - I guess it's nicer than the colorful blue and green tree logo...but it kinda looks like they just drained the color and went with an even cheaper method of printing.
Edit - I just noticed that I wrote 'slime chance' - WHO YOU GONNA CALL??

Agreed, it just feeds into the hype and grossly over-inflated prices that have been a constant for the past year. There *much* better things you can do with $150.
For example: currently typing on a Omnikey Ultra TP I bought in mint condition and whose switches I later replaced with Blue Alps harvested from a DC-2014 I got for substantially less than even that offer. I wouldn't commend my soldering abilities, but thankfully Omnikey PCBs seem fairly, um, robust. Nirvana has been achieved.

Yea, with the top swap they basically just become late SKCM Blue's like on the PB T9102.
Great/Interesting Finds

I cant wait to get my t1902s, that will be 2 more data points to help us learn more about these boards. one is pad print and the other is doubleshot.

What difference does switch plate length make? I thought the main difference between orange and salmon alps (beyond colour and lack of lube) was the shorter switch plate and people generally seem to regard them as being pretty equal.

The layout is known as Canadian French, to be specific.
So it's missing a keycap, could use a cleaning, and as eBay boldly states, this US seller: "
Does not ship to Canada"; which is a bit of a miss given most of the market for that layout is here.
I just checked local classifieds on Kijiji: one seller has two, 45$CAD each, both are missing one key top just like the eBay one. One dated April 11, 1989, the other a later make (no label picture, unfortunately) with the newer style LED overlay.
He's also got a square label US ANSI 1390131 dated August 27, 1986 with a black AT cable for the same price!

Another seller has an ANSI USB-converted 102-key terminal M (the 102nd is a split numpad +) for 60$CAD.
