I read the software from the floppy disks, but it's MS-DOS software that won't run on Windows because it talks directly to the hardware of the PS/2 port.

Also, AFAIU the keyboard has no memory that survives power-off, which means that the programming was re-uploaded at boottime through the PS/2 port. Which means you can't program it on a DOS machine and use it on your modern computer afterwards.

Hehe, the blacksmith drawing beside the Cherry label on the back is awesome.

And that keyboard with all the display keys is also awesome! My favorite part is the over-simplified name - 'THE Board'

Now this is a rare and pretty sight: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-IBM-611 ... 2281088033

NIB Model F122 6110344, this is the best F122 IMO, blue sublegends and intended for use with the IBM 3270 PC.

At this point you have to ask yourself: f77/f62 or f122?

Or Made in USA/Made in China?

I do love those blue sublegends too.

Some keyboards yellow.
This one oranged.
This dude has been trying to sell this board for the better part of a year. I remember I offered $20 back when I first started getting into vintage keyboards, but it was declined, haha. It uses acer switches.

There's another F122 - different than the NIB one, though. BIN enabled.

I have one of those. I think the only better F122 would be one with OG APL legends.
Damn, never seen one with the original box before. That's definitely the nicest one, it's the type that has no blanks (all the others do iirc).

And it shows, it's already gone for $400 - a princely sum for a battleship xD .

MSX computers are fun. 8-)

It appears to have Cherry dubleshoot, might be a small giveaway.

The alphas might look like that but the modifiers don't fit the usual Cherry lettering, so I'm not sure about that.

Wow, this F122 is pretty much maxed out on possible keys: split Enter, split Shift, split Backspace, split Numpad Enter and split Numpad Plus!

Hey NZ members: full set of complicated cream Alps snd SA alps keycaps going for 99 cents - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... 1289207695 unfortunately attached to a typewriter...

P.S. not my auction

Do you mean the NZ auction? I'll proxy it for you, but shipping from NZ is brutal. The seller has these guys http://www.packsend.co.nz/ not far from her and is happy to use that service. That's your easiest option for shipping, not sure if it's the cheapest.

Auction closed, looks like someone made the seller an offer they couldn't refuse.

Ones in very good condition.
Which that one isn't. That price is unusually high.

Typical bidding war between two people. Doubt they would have bought the keyboard if it had a BIN price that high - they just got caught up in the moment bidding!

That reminds me of how much I like Cindy and her fair prices - mine was 100 bucks. Now if only shipping to Canada weren't so ridiculous.

I saw that the other day, thought it could be ITW Magnetic Valve from the exposed switch but I wasn't sure: wiki/ITW_magnetic_valve. If so, it's a very interesting and unique switch, highly recommended!

Can't zoom in on it anymore, but looks like it, and it's an ITW/Cortron keyboard, so almost certainly, yes.
