Compared to what? I had been using an MS Ergonomic for years and when I first got the mech bug, I purchased a custom Ergodox with Cherry MX greens. I really like that board and don't regret it in the least, but it cost me USD325.

Orihalcon's been selling these with the Xwhatsit already installed also. So they work out of the box. And with a little TLC, they work splendidly, especially with magenta vinyl wrap ...

Really improves the keyfeel.

This is EXACTLY what my future project for the Cyber Punk look for my 3278 Beamspring . You missed the LED Lights tho.

I did think about putting LED backlighting on this. Still might, but sometime down the road.

It's odd to me ... Put bold colors, Dangerous Minds, or strange Manga-inspired artisans on a Plank or a Poker and people will line up praising what you did. Do that to an IBM and people lose their minds.

Once I put the cases back on, they will look a bit less insane.

Compared to other Fs. My XT, AT, and Battleship were all under $100 (I think the Battleship was the most expensive at $80). And the XT and AT are the rare UK versions; the AT even came with its original box. And none of them were disproportionately cheap or anything.

I always get a bit jealous of you when you say in your videos, I picked up this keyboard at the local recycling center for 5 pence and a toenail clipping. If I can ever get to the UK, I think I'll skip Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, and spend the entire trip bouncing from one recycling center to the next!

Heh, yeah, I had a lot of fantastic deals there, but none of my Model Fs were from there. Although I nearly would've had an AT for there for £1 or so, if the new guy at the centre hadn't chucked it accidentally.

Buffalo really isn't that far from Toronto...but I'd have to cross the border - and I just picked up a 5160 system 2 days ago with a Zenith and extra F XT so this would just take up too much space I don't have :S That computer looks like it's in great condition though!

Note that Tulip keyboards often came with rod stabilisers unlike other Alps boards.
