Oh that's great! Curious of what you'll find inside!

These are nice layouts, smooth blacks I guess ;)

I stopped by reddit for the heck of it and saw this post. If this is true it may be worth touching base with this guy:

"Oh that's cool to know. This is one of about 10 [edit: 3178 terminal/keyboards] we have sitting around here. Along with about 150 model m keyboards destined for the trash :-( which apparently is a pretty popular keyboard in this community. But I'm in the process of getting the OK to take a few home before they toss them."

another obscure FK-2001

"FCC ID: FSQ4VYFK-2001

Focus Electronic

Made in Taiwan R.O.C.

no 1202734

A rare model of the focus fk-2001 , the primax legacy 101, made in taiwan before they moved production to china (where cheaper materials were used)

pristine condition, no yellowing at all, doubleshot ABS keycaps, white SKCM ALPS switches, unlike other white ALPS, these have gold plated springs and contact points. i have owned blue ALPS switches as well and these feel more like blues than they do whites. crispy tactile switches. see pictured for more details. i took off the enter keycap and don’t know how to put it back on, as you can see in the pictures. the dust cover has some super glue in the corner as well. other than that it’s in perfect condition, looks like it’s never been used, original packaging."

The G/I thread isn't really a place to advertise your own eBay listings. I would recommend creating a FS thread instead.

I'd say you already know everything there is to know about it. It's just a while Alps FK-2001 with a Primax badge and packaging.

LexMark Model M 1398601 with "blue?" [sic] keys. Those seem rather unusual, and the slightly off tone of blue makes me think of an aftermarket add-on, even more so given the J key lacks a HRI. https://www.ebay.com/itm/232588795937

Those keys might be pretty sweet to one of the few people who use numlock on their SSK to enter numbers.

If they want to drive themselves insane. The order is wrong for an ssk.

Xerox 820 keyboard looks like the version for the word processor variant. I hoped to bag it without competing bids, but I'm out of luck. I hope it goes to a good home, possibly a member here who will reveal all in a tear-down and convert it to USB, as I had planned to do.

Doesn't ship to the U.S. That just seems wrong somehow for an auction of IBM classic hardware. Good luck to everyone in Europe!

If this was a Model F then the bottom casing would be a metal pan and you could not break out a small piece.

And, surprise, there is no actual picture of the back.

That said, these are notorious for bad labels. Mine, for example, is actually a Model F although the label says "Model M"

There must be plastic broken then at the back of the top case then as the keyboard pictured is not the rubber dome version.

"Sadly I did not found time to take some pictures: I will update this listing with proper pictures in the next days."

Not sure about that, a bit of a red flag - but does offer local pick up. Anyone heading to Germany want to pick it up for me?

Some users like Oblotzky are from Cologne, if somebody is really interested in the board he could ask users from the region and give them a little Christmas gift in return.

That's the exact same model I have but mine is NIB. Pilfered from my second job, working for a tight-arse, all too happy forcing me to work extra hours without pay, this keyboard was my part payment in the end.

F#CK you Mr. Schiller 8-) .

YES, the blue ALPs are extremely nice to type on although the freaky layout sux, compared to the standard US ANSI which I'm use to now.
