I have the LP of "Two sides of Leonard Nimoy". It is awesome in its campiness. One side of the record has songs sung by Leonard Nimoy, the other side have songs sung by Spock. If you can find it for a good price, do not hesitate to buy it!

BTW, the "video" of The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins is not official, but from a TV show where the dancers danced in that style to each guest's performance. I really liked the song when I played it the first few times, and it wouldn't feel so campy in a more proper setting.

Well someone got those beamsprings quickly, for well over 200 Euros as the seller told me a couple of minutes ago. I hope they are worth it...

I particularly like ebay's description of the ended auction:
This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.
Whoopsie! Don't want ebay getting a cut of that!

Yeah, people getting their deals on without ebay is an "external error"...;p

The person I "talked" to said he was just selling them for the owner. The answer was also strange in that this person said the actual seller would most likely soon have more of the same. And no I did not bid, but I did make an offer if you know what I mean. I hope you guys get what you wanted. Personally I find this seller slightly sketchy, then again I have not bought anything from him!

Sorry, deleted my post. I totally agree with you, hoping that everything will work out well right now and had a change of mind about whether open discussion of how this ended is a good idea right now. My impression was that the actual ebay seller is very young, but I might be wrong.

Wondering how many more of these beam springs are likely to show up…

We only need, what, 20 for all of us to be happy!

yeah I´ll let everyone know as soon as those show up... ...that will be THE DT groupbuy from hell. ;)

These are public auctions, so why ever not! Halvar's got three more beamsprings than he needs now…

The typical discussion about seebart posting some keyboard finds in the Great/Interesting keyboards thread. Wondering who those three noble DT guys are.

like I said a few times before, I´ll stop posting if that´s what people want. That same discussion is on the fist page of this thread. By the way that guy in the middle looks like you madhias. I´m the cool guy on the right.

Give the guy on the left a beard to go with that tash, and he's not too far off ole Mu.

The eternal thread indeed.

Meanwhile, our mustachioed trio are also a mystery:

Folks, I didn't get them for me, I got them for the public good! I had to save them from ... what ultimately turned out to be ... seebart.

aha...so who is the "public good"? Apparently I am not! This sounds strange Halvar! Not very nice.

And why type in very small font size?

Up until now this was all good fun to me, I don´t even really want a beamspring. I would take one, but I don´t WANT one like Muirium does. "Public good"? Come on, that´s ridiculous. :?

Is the forth, non Beamspring Board a Model M or an F?
If it is an F I'd be interested in it ;)

Posted: 13 Aug 2014, 23:39
by Halvar
It's an early M (1386875) from 1986. I haven't seen a single Model F-122 terminal keyboard in a European layout yet.

Wasn't there something in the club statutes that members should sacrifice at least one beam spring keyboard by donating it to the running chairman, as a means of official initiation?

Posted: 13 Aug 2014, 23:56

heh heh "running chairman" heh heh

Let me rephrase that. Current chairman. But may also be donated to the software department.
