Best to be careful with the black models - not all of them are SKCL some are integrated dome or similar. Alps mount though

Yeah but IIRC the ones with domes have italic legends, those ones should be SKCL. Not 100% sure thought, it's been a long time that I didn't lurk that kind of keyboards.

Yeah, definitely my favorite one from that list. I'd jump on it if I had more time and money to spend on keyboard those days, and also more interest into Alps keyboards.

Not unless you have a compaq portable for it to go on. those are keytronic foam and foil, awful switches.

Now that you posted those Japanese boards they are probably going to sell for double what they normally go for. I actually have an X1 being shipped to me right now.

If shipping was cheaper it wouldn't be a bad deal IMO.

I've always wondered how come people don't get upset about this thread that pretty much uncovers most good chances at scoring good unnoticed deals on the internet.
That being said, I was SO happy that nobody seemed to be bothered, because I love the spirit of this thread, and I love looking at all this ebay deals going on, even if I can't buy pretty much any of those.
Also, if prices are going up, it's not the fault of threads like this one in my opinion.
Democratizing the chances of buying something might seem like a suicide, but if people keep their prices real and avoid buying keybs that cost more than cars, then the problem would not exist in the first place : )

So, I hope I'll get to keep reading about all these interesting findings around the net and the complains about the absurd prices : D

It's a very related board, but not the same. It appears to be the predecessor of the SWA-4300 I reviewed. Apart from the shape of the case they appear to be superficially the same.

IIRC ITW takes RAFI mount so it's not impossible to replace the cap.

I have some NOS Rafi Mounts (think they are at least don't have a RAFI board) 1.25u and 1.5u - But not the same profile
