It's even used and kinda dirty on the plate, and the caps are most likely abs caps, no idea who was that stupid...

8-)

You see, when even an old Alps Dell, with no mention of any coloured switches, gets sold for that amount.

I remembered a few weeks back some of you lot here on this Forum site ridiculing me for mentioning those prices, hate to now show you the TRUTH on pricing but do expect, to see more lunacy as further old keyboards get off loaded.

Flebay is certainly living up to ALL expectations when it comes to old Dell Keyboards :D .

I just got a clean one - like almost pristine - for like $75 after shipping off eBay...I've already sold the switches and harvested the caps for an omnikey 101 project.... I think I made a grave mistake.

I think it's the same couple buyers that are always in on these boxed Dell AT-101s. The runner-up with the ridiculously high feedback score I recognize for sure, they've won several over the past year or two. No idea what the motivation is.

Chyros said they are pretty good, but they are very expensive. $80 for a 60%, and it has butt-ugly keycaps.

It's back........again  For $250 less. Question. Is it possible to scan/3-D print that flip out wrist panel? What are the odds that the PCB is fire damaged? How hard would it be to design a new PCB based on emdudes work? (assuming you have no knowledge of electronics engineering technology)?

I asked the seller to open it and take shots of the PCB so he would have a higher chance of selling it. He said thanks but didn't take my advice :?

You could probably salvage at least 50 beam spring switches from that keyboard. Some keycaps too. Sell them on the echo bay for profit. :evilgeek:

It may take quite a while to sell them at 20/piece. Not sure if it's worth the opportunity cost.

I would buy some of the caps if anyone ends up getting it :D

20 euro per cap. You need those caps to restore your own crap beam spring to former glory.

I just made an offer on that 3279, but immediately regret doing so.

Only after submitting it did I realize that this is the same seller that did not honor my original purchase of a different beamspring a week or so ago.

It's highly doubtful that he'll accept anyway, even though my offer is very reasonable considering the horrendous condition of this board. Given that the seller lists a large number of keys that aren't clicking properly, I can only imagine what the PCB looks like. I'm only looking at it for parts anyway.

That's funny because they told me they'd accept my offer then turned it down and said they were already getting higher offers.

The seller seems really shady..

I wonder how this 3279 was burned. Maybe some kids took a blow torch to it or something. If this were a contemporary keyboard I would have tossed it without a second thought. At least it survived though. I would love to excavate some landfills for stuff like this.
