why not ? because it's neither a great nor an interesting find, the marketplace is made for that sort of stuff, so I don't see why it should be posted here

Well I think it's interesting, it's not like you see these available for sale on eBay all the time.

is it a find if it's your own though ? I don't care if it's great or interesting, I was more implying that it's not a find ...

Meh, people have done it before. Didn't know it was such a point of contention now.

How I see it is that we have a niche hobby that we all share and we should be able to help each other through any means. I don't really think Blaise had an ill intention.

I agree with Myoth - posting your own eBay sales in this thread is pretty lame. Make a WTS thread if you want to advertise an item on this site. Posting your own item in this thread seems petty insofar as you're just trying to pit community members against each other to contribute to the bidding war.
Anyway, here's a x68k I found on Y!J:
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r218083821. If anyone loses the bidding war but really wanted the board, this could be a second opportunity. Though, at the time of this writing, this one is a little more expensive.

Look, whenever my stuff gets posted by other people I've always said that community members are free to message me on here if they are interested in my stuff for 10% off my BIN price (I'm open to offers anyways). It's no petty plan of mine to pit the hordes of DT against each other. I've never had this backlash posting my stuff before but next time I'll just refrain from it.

Aw man, I think I bought something off you the other day without the DT best friends for life discount

Yeah I'm not saying that you shouldn't still post on DT, just don't think this is the right thread for it. I dunno, maybe I'm just turning into a grumpy old man at the age of 31, hahaha. GLWS though, my dude. It certainly is rare to see those on eBay!

I'll admit, sometimes I'll post that I'll do things for less than what things are currently going rates which is self advertisement, I just find it hard to contain sometimes, much like that F122 that went for $800. Ridiculous. PM ME to get one for MUCH less
The X68K is something that I think is on quite a few users' wish lists, but not something a lot of us regularly search for specifically, so not something many of us would come across to post about. Definitely great/interesting, but yeah, might not qualify as a "find" given than it's one's own auction.
I think there's a member auction links, or could go in marketplace, but not sure they get as much exposure there as I think this forum is much more visited, but probably the more *officially* appropriate place to post.
I don't think Blaise meant any harm by it. He's great to deal with by the way if you need something imported from Japan and always has some cool boards that you won't see elsewhere if you're looking for something peculiar. He's even translated a few labels in Japanese for me where there's no way I would have figured it out otherwise. Definitely a valuable member of the DT community

I don't think he meant harm either, I apologize if what I said came off a little harsh!

What is this logo?

Never seen the logo. I didn't even know that there were rebrands of IBM boards. Possibly an aftermarket replacement sticker?

Yeah me neither. I was thinking aftermarket sticker as well. It looks really cool!

"Blah can you post your own sales?" Hey this is just a topic someone started at some point. Originally, there were only the ebay.* tags in marketplace -> external for finds or ads. This topic pretty much killed those. So maybe someone should start a "My eBay sales/auctions" topic in here or something, if that it frowned upon in this topic.

Well, well, here's an NOS Model F AT at auction:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/292574759552
My typical plug - I have two nearly new F AT's in their original boxes, but I believe they were briefly used given some very minor wear and one I think was only used for a very short time and stopped because the spacebar came out, and of course couldn't be reattached without disassembly. The barrel plates look flawless which is a rarity. PM me if interested

Around how much are you looking for those? The last few went for around $200 USD.

Priced at a decent starting point, to boot. I don't hold any hope of not going for an outrageous price, though!

Those were actually decent little boxes back in the day, they went for cheap quick after they were released. There was a Barbie one too.
