Very nice! And I believe it does.

I don't mean the ugly colors!
(very tempting indeed!)
I mean the legends!!!

Is INTER/RED seeing any improvement?
Been holding out till the end to see if the price would improve, but at USD85 for red alphas (ALPHAINT/RED + INTER/RED) I think I'll bail out on that one.
Could always jump over to black, but that's looking even worse : )

Don't ask questions, just pay the man
I did, very promptly, but somehow there was still more money outstanding...

Aaah, I think that right shift key or something like it is available in the
SS family... And that's an ATTN just like I specified for FUNCTION2

Is it just me... or does my order keep getting more and more expensive?

I really like customizing my Ergodox keys, so I will stick with no legends to be more adaptable.

Don't get bloody started on whole other profiles now! (Although I'd consider SS in a future GB, if we can pull it off. It's a strange one.)

Get on GREY, that's where all the action's at.
(I am on all of them…)

Don't bail on me now... They all jumped off the black I wanted so was 125 for alpha kit with alphas... So going for the red instead, if that goes up, someone needs to die

WHERE ARE MY KEYCAPS, DID YOU SEND THEM YET?

I could swap black for gray, but that means ALPHAINT/GRAY + INTER/GRAY. Hope this is okay.

Ok, well how about this:
I will order a HONEY/ALPHA/GREY if you can add a SPH/MOD125 and SPH/CAPSLOCK kit to complete a 1.25 ISO alpahnumeric block in combo with SPH/REPAIR.
And no, I can't nick keys from daft122 because that's based on 1.50 mods.
I'll even settle for a GREY 625 space!

I'll hold on a little bit longer - see if it's going the right way, but over NOK 500 for the just the red alphas, that's getting a bit crazy, even in this place : )

Fight the boring gray! (How could you 7bit!

) Order two INTER/RED as I did, the rebate it great!

Ah, I'm just dreaming. TBH it's more about the stepped "hat" keys for me than the profile. A lot of work would be needed to get SS going - no 6.25 and 7 spaces for starters, and the shift keys would need sorting, and no deep dishes...
Actually the "humble" (hah) DCS has a lot of stepped keys available, someone should do some about that. A replica of that dirge keyboard maybe...

ø is so cute. how do you pronounce it?
The pronunciation is very similar to the o in love, don't know how else to describe it.
Det uttales da ikke løv!
I would say it's closer to the pronunciation of "uh", without the "h".

Do you have to be in space to use a keyboard like that?

Posted: 16 Dec 2013, 22:55

You sure have to *have* space to use a keyboard like that...

It drove me crazy all the time I thought about it. I thought about extenders or ordering tools for longer key mounts.
A few days ago, I packed a G80-2551 and the idea cam into my mind. The G80-2551 etc have an extra PCB for the function keys. It fits there, why shouldn't it on my Hyper7?
To have a curved profile up to the 8th row (counted from the bottom) adds the nice extra of a shorter PCB, becuase the controller etc can be under the extra keys, and laying the traces is not so painful anymore, as there is a lot more space now!

Aha, great idea. And the inspiration was my G80-2551?

lakmeer, I guess you can blame me.

Aw man, I thought I was finally gonna get my hands on some space-cadet glory.
Today... today is the saddest day.

What do you have against row 2 and row1 POS keys?

Posted: 16 Dec 2013, 23:10
by lakmeer
Well, nothing really; the thing is I can't mix em on a normal keyboard. I could still get honey/pos but I'd be limited to just choosing just one row.
Also really sad that I can't use HONEY/MODSYM200POS to get the symbols back cos they won't go with row1.
I guess there's not that much demand for space-cadet style function buttons after all. Except 7bit
