That's an interesting way to see it. Gonna save this quote for future use.

First time I see a big fat enter along with a two unit back space. I thought all the big fat enter came on AT style keyboards.

KBD66 from massdrop.

Very nice phenix I am jealous, would love to find a blue alps board some day for a reasonable price
Also nice KBD66, appreciating the glorious hhkb layout more than anything
Here is my relatively new acquisition. A Noppoo 108 EC Pro with 55G domes and raindrop doubleshot keycaps. Feels about on par with topre I'd say.

You must mean in terms of tactility. There's no way the Noppoo feels on par with Topre's build quality. My EC108 Pro has mediocre build quality at best.

In terms of tactility it feels more or less the same, the sound isn't quite as nice as the hhkb but that's the only place in which it doesn't match up to topre boards. I actually find the case to be built better than the hhkb - it doesn't creek as much when you try and flex it.

True, I've never seen that combination either?!? Conrgats on those blue Alps.

Nothing unusual here, cherry doubleshots (with hadapter) on filco with mx blacks
DT cap from hadditionals set for the photo

That's the typical Focus and Asian 102 (Monterey) layout thing! Chiconies and NTC keyboards tend to have the F AT inspired 101 key layout with a BAE and 1u backspace.

OK, but from what I have seen this combination of two unit back space with FAT ass enter is more rare.

Am I missing something? My FK-555 looks just like this. It's just a BAE with 2u backspace, the typical Focus layout.

Haha, you flatter me, seebart. It is definitely one of my favorite boards in my collection. So happy that it is virtually mint too.

Well I'm a modest man with a modest Alps collection.

Sorry for asking this, but what is a "HADapter"?

Group buy by wodan for the 1.25 mods to use OG cherry caps with modern layouts. The caps are made by gmk and include other keys too.

Cherry solid state capacitive (cross stem) with what I thought was quadruple shots but must be triple shots + engraving. Also has embedded LED switches.

Just a potato picture, but after a long trial and error I finished the bottom row mod of my Model F AT this morning. The xwhatsit controller is already installed, idk if it works, but I hope it does.

It sure looks like it.

But it's not clear if it's "Español (Spain)" or "Español (Latin America)".

Is it the one from ebay spain after retrobright? If so you did a really nice job

Sí ! I believe it's it's Español (Spain).
hansichen wrote: Is it the one from ebay spain after retrobright? If so you did a really nice job

Yes thanks. But it needed more than retrobright. I post a full thread soon.

I'm looking forward to your thread, it's such a pretty board but I personally decided against it due to the condition. Good to see that it ended in beloved hands.

Yes, the price was borderline even for this somewhat rare keyboard. Here is another one that is waaayyy more expensive:

Nice! The stabilizer layout looks interesting, are you going for ISO Enter but split the right shift, not the left shift?
And how tight is the spacing around the Alt keys? Would it make sense to use 1.25U Alt keys?

The layout is my favorite custom layout (I use it on many keyboards, often with split right shift), looks a bit strange because it misses some stab inserts:
It would be definitly easier to use 1,25u keycaps. The used 1,5u keycaps seem very big and I had to file the bottom edges a bit, to made sure they work (physical) properly.

Typing on my TXCP for a couple of days now. Still in love with it :D
Went for a brass plate and very light spring vintage black switches.

The wob set on there right now will be replaced by a new one and icon mods.
