Yeah, unfortunately it's already gone up to a high bid with over 6 days left to go... and there are 24 watchers. There goes the chances of it going for a reasonable price.Keybug wrote: 25 May 2019, 10:43 Paleolithic Cherry board with unique numpad keycaps. Pad printed, triple-shot or dyesubbed, do you think? (Has doubleshots elsewhere...) Looks to me like it has at least some pad printing on the numpad...
Plus one key is very spcl !

It arrived today, and it's absolutely immaculate inside, and no yellowing at all. Switches are early (branded) white SKCM, and feel like new. Thanks again for the great lead on this!cli wrote: 17 May 2019, 08:33 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Laser- ... 3054386159
Nice 1'st gen ALPS White switches and double shot keycaps. Work with most cheapass PS/2 USB adapters, build qualtity not as good as a Omnikey, but better then later Monterey or Dell AT101 keyboard.

Condition of the keyboard is bit of a gamble. It looks much used, some of the letters on the keycaps have completely fade away (so no double shot keycaps also).xicanoink wrote: 31 May 2019, 16:31 And Blue Alps!

NOOO, was watching this auction from the first few minutes hoping no one would post it herecli wrote: 31 May 2019, 17:06 If you want to have a German keyboard layout, keep an eye on this bidding, according to the wiki database it should have Blue Alps.

It 's completely yellowed, so I wouldn't go crazy on the bidding.
I have one of those (G81-1800 LAAUS with manufacture date J51 and the exact same built-in trackball), so it appears not to be a mod.jerue wrote: 30 May 2019, 23:18 This is interesting: a Cherry 1800 with an integrated trackball instead of a numpad. Not those 11800/11900's...an actual 1800 with a somewhat large trackball built-in. Shame it's a G81 and lasered caps, otherwise it'd bring me out of "retirement".

The more I think about it, the less interesting this probably is, maybe some third party got these and modded the numpad. I can say I've never seen this until now! I wonder why the serial is blacked out, it contains all the useful information like the date code!
And .. did you got it?Monster-Toys wrote: 01 Jun 2019, 08:58NOOO, was watching this auction from the first few minutes hoping no one would post it herecli wrote: 31 May 2019, 17:06 If you want to have a German keyboard layout, keep an eye on this bidding, according to the wiki database it should have Blue Alps.

I think you can still order spare Industrial cases from Unicomp and put your own Model M assembly/guts inside, if anyone is sad to have missed out.JP! wrote: 04 Jun 2019, 14:08 https://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-MODEL-M-ME ... SwP41c9ZzK

I thought they sold out of the surplus industrial cases. I might be wrong though.adamcobabe wrote: 04 Jun 2019, 15:47I think you can still order spare Industrial cases from Unicomp and put your own Model M assembly/guts inside, if anyone is sad to have missed out.JP! wrote: 04 Jun 2019, 14:08 https://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-MODEL-M-ME ...
