They are necessary for Hyper/7bit-layouts. & is very useful on G80-2100 and firends, because there are 2 one unit keys instead of the vertical + key.
fair enough.
7bit wrote:Yes, and we need 2 units keys to fit on top of 2 key caps!
you are talking keyboard-ish now :) you mean that you need to remove the stems from a 2unit and fit it over 2 1u?!

There exist 2 units keys which fit on 2 switches, instead of 1 switch plus 2 stabilisers.

What about 1.0 Backspace and 1.0 Shift (2x)?

this thing is gonna cost a kidney if I keep adding keys :)

Just put all those extras into one kit.

And maybe add an ALPHA kit without those stupid F1-F12 and without modifiers.

I will post something later ...

Everything's the same except for the followings:

NO 1.5 diamonds, actually I'd like to remove all unbranded keys
NO Alien, no need for that but if we find a nice custom key I'd gladly add it

Then remove the diamonds completely. The commodore the the one to use where people qould use the diamond.
Get rid of the red 1 unit + and 1 unit Enter.

Make a 1.5 units Return key instead of the arrow.

Same for 1 unit for the numpad Run key!!!!

You are quite close to the perfect solution!

Just need an ALPHA kit. ALPHA kits are also good for people who want to swap the caps that go shiny quite quickly, while the rest remains OK.

:-)

ps: 5 without homing bump would be nice!

Agreed, but I also have to listen what GHers say :)

Are they considered "standard" legend?

Buy 2 base kit then :evilgeek:
7bit wrote:ps: 5 without homing bump would be nice!
makes no difference to me. I'll never ever use a numpad :D

These things are vital!

5 wihout homing bump / deep dish
1.5 units Return instead of arrow on the key (the arrow version is not required)
1 unit Run key instead of arrow and red version not required!

The diamonds make no sense GH is irrelevant!
ALPHA would please a lot of people who can't make sense of any of the standard modifiers (1.25 units etc.).

Please notice you don't have even a matching space bar for the standard kit!

Speaking as a weirdo who uses a kinesis in maltron layout, a deep dished 'i' would be a nice thing to have in the extras kit, and a couple of vertical 2x1 diamond keys wouldn't go amiss. Not gonna happen though, is it? Unless there's a horde of folks who decide to start using jesse's blue shift layout.

LOL!

Please note that our US proxy is a geekhacker... so...

I understand what you mean. This is more a kit for custom keyboards than for Filco. I agree, hope people understand that. That's why I doubt we will reach a very high volume, and that's why I'm trying to keep the options low. but hey I'm 1bit you are 7 :) I trust your judgment.

You make these kits:

STANDARD (as is)
NUMPAD (latest version I've shown you)
ALPHA (maybe a |\ key and it is perfect as in my graphic)
EXTRAGH (all the GeekHack fluff)
EXTRADT (all the stuff I want, plus some language specific stuff)
ERGODOX (as is, or maybe some additional stuff for Ergonomic keyboards people)

is the "return" key considered custom? do they already have the mold for that?

Trying to make some order

regarding the alpha set, no problem, if there's interest.

I don't know, but they never charged extra for plain text labels. I had quite a lot first time text labels.

ps: Now add the ALPHA kit and these 4 extra keys ...

... and I will place an order!

If he gets vi-specific keys, I want the full Lisp/Symbolics range:
Super, Hyper, Meta, Function, Select, Complete, square, circle, triangle, thumb keys, I-IV, ....

Lisp is what you kiss, isn't it ?

When i offer perl to my wife she kisses my lisp. She likes ruby better as it is fine with her java watch, but i'm not too objective...

I believe this thing is going to be compatible even with Race... that would be a world first prolly

oh now that you say that they don't charge for letter legends I'm gonna have text only mods (c64 style)

7bit... I know you are super powered and the way of the keyboard flows strong in your blood... but... who are those keys for? 4 keys are not going to impact on pricing... I am just curious to know what keyboard or layout needs those keys.

okay, that layout is insane, you know that right? :D

edit: toying with the idea of a hyper-micro kit? we put there everything you need (even the fun and the cut and paste keys)
