Everyone that wants the language kit need to get in on this gb to be potential customers for it. Just order and hope for the best! I ordered blanks for the keys that is missing/wrong for a swedish layout and a numpad kit that I'm going to use on the number row in case we don't get a language kit. Better to miss some lagends than have a lot of misinformation.

What about ordering the EU kit in the same order, but letting SP send those keys to someone else?

I'm interested in EU kit but I'm not going to purchase ISO kit because it just looks awful to have a DCS Intro with DSA keys. It looks out of place in my opinion and I'm too picky when it comes to keycap profile.

Need to place the order before it closes but have to decide what I should choose yet.

place a minimal order right away, you have then 1-2 more days to change it

Just to reconfirm, best case scenario (if we reach 50+ orders), the ISO kit alone would end up at around $100 right?

For me the total would look something like this (other countries might have slightly lower taxes/fees):
Full TKL ANSI: $70 (keys) + $30 (expenses/shipping) + $20 (taxes) + $20 (customs fees) = $140
ISO kit: the same as above = $140
Totalt = $280

... and then my head sort of starts to spin : ) It looks like it's going to be a damned beautiful key set, but I think I'm going to give it a pass this time around. Very much appreciate your effort in trying to make it happen though (and making the best ordering system ever).

How about this:
Add a new "fake kit" to the order form. Make it cost $5 or something like that.
That way people who don't need the EU kit could donate some money to bring the price down for the ones who need it.
I guess it's too late now because most people already ordered but $5 more won't hurt most of us and it may help getting the price down to something more reasonable.

Just an idea: maybe send out an email to those who ordered or display a small message on the order site that it would be great if the EU kit would get some support.

EDIT: I know the EU kit has nothing to do with this order, but since donating would be voluntarily I don't think thats a problem.

I could agree for one set,and i'm doing it.
But i wanted to buy 5-10 sets, and without EU set it would be mostly useless to me...
And i can't afford getting useless 5-9 sets.

quite a few vendors got this set, that's because I charged the raw keycaps cost I believe. Anyway, you'll get the chance to purchase this set from one of them. Of course it won't be that cheap.

It can be
Full TKL ANSI: $70 (keys) + $30 (expenses/shipping) + $0 (taxes) + $0 (customs fees) = $100
And if they combine the shipping
ISO kit: $70 (keys) + $10 (expenses/shipping)= $80
Totalt = $180

instead of paying the keycap companys for the molds we would pay for our own molds?

I know some of you may have seen this pictures already but just to show everyone how this should look in your keyboards regarding DSA profile:

You can see relegendables on one of the keyboards.

I thought the same as you and even write(I edited it) something asking you about why SP couldn't do it but after looking at it some time I noticed it looks like DCS profile.

It's hard to tell from the pictures...

I'm not so sure these are even from SP.

I remember these too, there was some reason why these are blank keys.

Please take a look at the LED windows, BTW.

I'm sure Sixty could tell us immediately where these caps came from.

If someone has a lot of time: Please search GH for the answer, as I'm quite sure we've discussed this already ...

Sixty on GeekHack wrote:They are made by SP indeed. And they do make them with windows too. These keycaps are very cheap, since they are blank and flat/spherical, meaning all of them have the same profile, meaning you would get very high volume discounts for big orders. The lack of a different profile might be a problem for some, but so far the OTD guys have been loving them.

They're made by SP because Sixty said so in GH long time ago. He also said something about them attracting too much dust and it being noticeable when using light colours.

Woops, rodtang got it faster.

I found his answers when looking dor DSA info for the Elvish GB.

I got confirmation from SP that DSA 7 units spacebar has the same mounting points than DCS 7 units. So all DCS will be converted into DSA.

it was otd`s group buy.
i know it was from sp.

Thanks!

@matt3o:
Please add the window versions (blanks only, as SP can't double shot them, as they say) and ask she should look again for the stepped Caps Lock keys (might only be available in blank).

Is there any option to have Blank Keycap with Deep Dish ? I think this makes a lot of sense if you want a blank set.

I find it annoying to end up with +24 keycaps from the main Alpha Extended set if I purchase 2 sets just because the number row is ANSI. Also it's way cheaper to purchase blank keycaps individually than purchasing 2 of those previous sets receiving the extra keys I won't need for anything but I'm paying for.

I know I'm late but the Alpha set should have been alone by itself so people could buy separately the Numpad set in order to fill the number row. Better to have no symbols than have wrong ones.

Too bad I paid attention to the GB so late :mrgreen:

I'll try to get some deep dish blanks.

Yes, I would also love to get some blank keycaps with deep dish. That would be perfect.
But it's too late now to make these into the form, isn't it?

Edit: that sounds very good, matt3o, thank you

I don't think it will kill samwisekoi immediately when he wou;ld have to handle a few more blanks with LED windows, plus a stepped Caps Lock.
