I don't understand why the top-center legend position. go full-center or top-left...
regarding the font... well... let's say a big step from the spacehull typeface.

Top centre = backlight style. Hmm…

I don't know if that is even possible with topre sliders. someone suggested transparent slider housing, that might work.

Only if they would be made of transcullent plastic but who really needs backlight?

I wish I could only get those sliders to put MX caps on my HHKB
That would be so nice!

Well, you know what Noppoo is up to:

I reckon CM's just being consistent with its own caps. I just want sphericals with dead centred legends on one of these, stat!

If the price is okay I would go for one, but I am afraigt it will be too expensive to salvage it for parts

indeed nooppo placed the led to top left and bottom right on all sliders. So centered legends are still a mystery

Probably just style then. A strange style, but it's their default.

I have no Topre of my own, so I'm after one of these for real use. But you're right, they should definitely sell the sliders as a "spares" kit!

I do not worry too much about the keycaps, because I plan to use other keycaps. All I want is the perfect switch for me (which will be hard because I never touched Topre and I am not sure which will fit me best) and a nice TKL.

To tease you all a little bit... Indeed that sample as shown in that post on Reddit indeed came in this week to our local offices... You can expect some more teasers after Cebit

Better tease a "Replacement Stem Bag" to get MX caps on Topre boards!

Just give me a confirmation that the ISO version will launch as soon as the ANSI version.

But about ISO vs ANSI.. All our local EU languages (UK, FR, DE, etc) will be ISO and our US version will be ANSI..

But what about the Dutch? (Or ANSI lovers like me…)

I can say that [redacted] and it's really [redacted]. I'm extremely [redacted] and hopefully some of [redacted] will be [redacted].

Just to keep you guys updated, someone at /r/mechanicalkeyboards had the chance to talk to a "CM storm dude" about the Novatouch and could figure out the following:
things I learned talking to the CM storm dude (was it you rajface? hi!! you were cool):
-the board will ship ~mid-year or so
-CM storm IS working with Topre, this is not a knock-off
-the purple switch is NOT the silent kind (it's just purple to look pretty for CM storm?? still confused on this one)
-retail price is $150
-t-he name "Novatouch" was divined while pooping
-you ARE allowed to take selfies with ya boy Novatouch
-the Novatouch is 45g, uniform as far as I could tell. I forgot to ask if they had plans to release a 55g version down the road
Source:

Also he states that the Novatouch feel a lot less bumpy and thocky than his FC660C, do you guys have any idea why that is?

Ouch on the mid-year thing...
It was originally supposed to be early Q2

Please release an ANSI version in Europe. It's really frustrating to have to import keyboards from the US just for them to be ANSI. If I need to import from the USA, then I might as well be buying a Realforce or something instead since I'm going to get stung by customs anyway...

Exactly. I know that supplying Europe's a bit of a pain with all our different layouts anyway, but those of us who want ANSI are at least consistent.

I wholeheartedly second this. Having to import ANSI keyboards from the USA is a pain in the ass.
