Looks great. What switch is that?
You are right it looks like Type 2 Mitsumi.Bjerrk wrote: 20 Mar 2021, 17:40 Looks like some kind of Mitsumi mount switch. Probably Mitsumi standard mechanical Type 2?
Interesting. I hate it.raoulduke-esq wrote: 19 Mar 2021, 13:14 I would file this one under “interesting” as it’s a Model M that was skinned alive, turned into a Frankenstein’s monster, then had IKEA desk lamps bolted to it... but it does have a certain charm. No doubt took a lot of work but the decimal point still feels wrong.

If you can monkey with the height, you can flatten the backs of caps and epoxy them to IBM stems.
65% form factor, good looking keycaps and rather rare switches. If you were to sell it, I think many would be interested in buing it. I know I would.SlowTyper wrote: 20 Mar 2021, 17:49 Is it worth anything considering it cant be connected to anything? Or it can? 11pin connector never heard for such.
I ordered it this morning. 5 euros it is. Gonna let you know what I will get. Owner says it even has original box.juspek wrote: 21 Mar 2021, 16:2865% form factor, good looking keycaps and rather rare switches. Regarding that connector, it reminds connector of this NEC keyboard in one of Chyros' reviews:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6axHWLmgloQ
Thank you. That one also has unknown to me din connector.juspek wrote: 21 Mar 2021, 19:41 Nice to hear you got it. BTW, those octaconal Alps switches of the numpad are Alps common mount low profile, quite light linears:wiki/Alps_common_mount_low_profile
I think it may be 13-pin with two of them left out. Like https://www.cuidevices.com/product/reso ... del/sd-130SlowTyper wrote: 20 Mar 2021, 17:49 It has connector like this

Nice find and nice price for such a rare and unique board- I can concur that you will be getting those weird derivative switches. I have the same exact board with a “BLAZER 386” metal plate in the left hand corner.dr-lipschitz wrote: 23 Mar 2021, 21:11 Just purchased this guy https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1KB101 ... 3430243321
I expect it to have htk clicky smk derivative switches:

That cybernetics switch looks almost identical to apple hairspring. That is extremely weird wiki/Apple_hairpin_springvdublove37 wrote: 23 Mar 2021, 21:51 A couple of boards with unknown switches I've been looking at:

Thanks man! I'm really excited for this one.imdatperson wrote: 23 Mar 2021, 21:49Nice find and nice price for such a rare and unique board- I can concur that you will be getting those weird derivative switches. Yeah that's what I thought too, but minus the hairspring on the top. Quite weird. I'm waiting for a picture on the other one, but it looks Keytronic from the PCB.dr-lipschitz wrote: 23 Mar 2021, 21:54That cybernetics switch looks almost identical to apple hairspring. huh, didn't know those came in 87 key format. slightly off topic, does anyone know the difference between the 3276 and 3278?Tahoma wrote: 24 Mar 2021, 00:32 This is in interesting-looking IBM 3276:

Terminal wise, the 3276 included an integrated control unit whereas the 3278 was strictly a "dumb" terminal, however they supported extended attributes like colors :O over the 3277.dr-lipschitz wrote: 24 Mar 2021, 00:35 huh, didn't know those came in 87 key format. slightly off topic, does anyone know the difference between the 3276 and 3278?
