That second Omnikey you mention is $175 + $35 shipping. That's pretty high for an unrestored Omnikey.
There's
another Zeeeenith for $140, in bad shape. Also, according to the Wiki, ZeeeeKB-2s did come with Mitsumi Mini Mechanical, so I'd recommend asking the seller to pry off a cap before bidding.

I purchased the Gold Label Omni Key, so I guess I’m contributing to the problem. I didn’t actually win the auction but the winner didn’t respond and I was offered the keyboard as a second chance offer. The seller said the gold label has sold for up to $750 which I thought was crazy, but it seems like the sky is the limit these days. Physically It’s in good condition and the switches feel great. Being my first blue Alps I can’t comment on how good they are, but they sound and feel excellent. I’ve heard blue and pine white Alps are similar and can confirm they sound and feel very similar to my pine white Alps FK-2001. If they were in the same chassis it would be hard to tell them apart. Sadly the Omni Key isn’t working, so I’ll have to diagnose why it doesn’t initialize...

Yeah, I agree. But I figured I might post it anyway, maybe they will have to relist it for a lower price.

Doesn't ship to Germany
Nvm, it's even missing its left foot.
Also, regarding the one I linked: Is this considered to be a "normal" prize for a ZKB-2? I figured they are popular, but thaat popular?

ebay global historical data for Zenith green Alps:
Highest:
$510 US (Zenith INEQ)
Lowest:
$105 US (Zenith Z-150)
There's a "parts" ZKB-2 that sold for all of $45. I don't know if that one had yellow or green Alps.
Subtracting the $510 one and the $105 one from consideration,
a decent condition Zenith with green Alps is about $175 to $225. YMMV. ebay records for closed ads go back only a month or three. I don't subscribe to their analytics service, so I have no other records.
I also just did a search on sold ebay auctions and "green Alps keyboard" and found only one non-Zenith:
a Chicony 5160. Sold for $121.21. There may be a little bit of an extra markup on Zenith KBs because of Chyros' video and/or because the badges look neat. That INEQ badge is quite nice. Not an extra $300 nice, mind you.
I really like my lubed yellow Alps keyboard and my linearized black Alps (Chyros mentions that linearized blacks are very similar to greens) KB is also quite nice, but my Steel Series Apex Pro Hall-effect keyboard is noticeably smoother. If I ever can find the right case and enough time, I'm going to sell both the yellow and black KBs.

I had pre-omnikey Northgate branded 555 a while back. It featured a small square gold badge with the Northgate logo on it.
Mine was blue Alps, so I can't comment on the Omron switches, but I'd still consider any 555 an extremely rare find.
It's a minor point, but Northgate sold the FK-555 and the 102 (and the FK-727) concurrently, at least for a while.

Ebay is weird. This 87 key 3276 (same as 3278) just bid to 2450
https://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-3276-Contr ... 4907326040
But this 75 key has been at $2500 for a few weeks now
https://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-3278-Beams ... 4617208430
Usually the 75 keys are more desirable

Old luggable with rare USw LMBW02 switches. Pity the whole assembly is in such a dilapidated state...

Apparently it is hard to press the button on expensive BIN items, but easy to engage in bidding wars over no reserve auctions.

It's obviously not worth the price unless someone else wants it almost as badly as you do.
I've always had fun bidding on ebay, but strangely I've known people who won't bid on anything, they'll only purchase buy-it-now items.

Orihalcons a good guy, his prices have definitely gone up in recent years though at least through ebay. I'm sure he'd offer discounts to anyone PMing him through DT as he's been nothing but fair to me in the past.
As for that paint job, he writes in the description that he took it to a local place to get powdercoated, and they fucked it up.

Orihalcon is a good guy and he's been the only one willing to be a consistent supply of model m and f converters over the years. He's cut me some good deals in the past but he's not about to get ripped off. His price isn't totally unreasonable for a keyboard as rare as that.

Doesn’t matter how bad the paint job is, you can powerdercoat it no problem

Hey all, I can't say that I really know what the going rate is on F107's these days, but I also don't want to just list stuff that sells immediately at a price that I "guess" to be a fair price, hence no buy it now on that one. The last complete unconverted F107 I believe sold for around $3500 at auction about two months ago, but I question whether the buyer paid or not as I was not the seller, though I also didn't see it pop back up for sale. I figured an auction would be the best way to determine what the market value really is.
I did actually guess at fair buy it nows for a Zenith ZTX-1 and OKI Gourd spring board this evening and both of those sold within about an hour of being listed, so that makes me question my opinion of prices even more these days
I assume the black powder coated one is probably worth maybe 1/2 of whatever the complete F107 goes for since many people add their own caps and paint anyway and sourcing AT/F122 style barrels shouldn't be too hard I don't think. I may adjust the price once I see what the complete F107 finishes at, or I'll just lower the price by $50 a week until it sells.
Definitely didn't mean to offend anyone! Ultimately, I'm trying to get the market price rather than raising the market price by listing that F107 at auction. The black F107 I suppose I could have waited to list until after the auction was finished though

That's an exact twin to the one I bought new back in the '90s, except mine has a U.S./FCC label instead of an "international" one. Be aware that mine came with printed caps (the legends wore off quickly), not the normal Focus doubleshots.

rare and coveted things increase in price as more people desire to get their hands on them. that will continue to happen as the keyboard community grows. A product is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. as long as there is no false advertising or deception, there is nothing wrong with a seller getting what he can for it.
I've bought from Orihalcon before, and every time it has been a pleasant experience. and as far as the price on this f-107 goes, I think it is a good price. I almost bought it myself, but I have too many projects already as it is.

Hey man, speaks even more for you but I don't think you need to apologize or feel the need to justify your pricing decisions.
