Tinnie tells me that the PCB has support for Cherry PCB-mount stabilisers. :)

I'll probably go for the MX-mini, but I still have a few questions.

1. What color is the acrylic case that comes with it? Is it transparent or?

2. What is the exact layout of the buttons? I've seen multiple 75% layouts out there, and I don't know which one it is:
- http://www.williamjudd.com/wp-content/u ... 2/09/2.jpg

3. If it's the first layout, does this mean I can just order keycaps from any standard place, like WASDkeyboards?

4. If I get the pcb, case and switches/keycaps, all I need is a USB cable and I'd be ready to go, right?

5. Is a plate recommended for the 75%? Does it change visuals in any way?

I'm thinking about a Face U replica PCB, but how much will postage be to the UK?
I can't be bothered waiting for the GH60 now and this one looks like it will be great.

Hello!
Who is doing Piracy ?
- You are prirating the Open source hardware Agreement, and it's Logo.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source_hardware
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_op ... e_projects.

- The PCBs and the Designer's site are very 'Private and Copyright Protected' and Paying Taxes.
- You are prirating All the efforts, Ideas, and Achievements of the GH and DT members http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=50580.0
- You are prirating PCBs and Softwares are on the http://winkeyless.kr
- You have never contacted, and Never told on this matter before.

I do politely ask Your explanation, and our DT Administors' mediation.
Thank You!

prirating?

Well, either the hardware is open source or it's not. And either the software is open source or it's not.

If im correct sprit is running a gb over at gh currentley for mx mini's and face w's

If they are open source, there is no problem for Tinnie to make them too.

This is a replica, from the beginning it was mentioned that. The controller is available to be bought from any supplier, the PCB is common to many 60% designs (Poker, GH60, etc...).
And the first post to be like that ? I think there are better ways to settle such things. This is a gentlemen club :)

the software is open source, so no problem there. the hardware was said to be "open hardware", but I can't say for sure. At least there's the open hardware logo on it. don't know if it's legit.

I think this is all a huge over-reaction. Tinnie has stated that, to his knowledge, the PCB designs are replicas and open hardware. If this turns out to be the case, it's absolutely not his fault.

Also, I think that these claims of "piracy" are overzealous and exaggerative at best. If there's a problem, Tinnie is a good guy and I'm sure he'll work it out for us with alternative designs if necessary.

Hi! tinlong :)
Unfortunately, FaceU and MX mini, or A.87's design and copyright are Not Free and paying all the Taxes.
This has been respected well for years in the World.
If it were free, I should have posted all the details on the Community.
Who is doing dead-copying these PCBs?
Any agreement, any contribution to the HW or Software?
Any guarantee to support the members who may bought these?
I believe You are Not the Origin of this issue, but You could have PM me before :)

honestly, sprit1, you should have contacted tinnie personally, before making this public. tinnie is just a proxy, he was said the PCBs were open hardware and they even showed him pictures with the open hardware logo.

anyway I believe this can still be solved peacefully.
