Hi there. Can anyone identify this board? It's an AT/XT switchable board with no branding or model number and Mitsumi KLT-11 switches.

Hi I recently found this keyboard and I need help with identifying. It's screenshot from internet so I can only work with the photos. There isn't any any kind of branding on it either. Thank you

I’m notoriously bad at IDs, so I won’t guess. Those caps look to have a crazy profile, however, which makes me curious. The big old DIN AT cable is a good sign, as are the stepped mods. And look at that 7 key. Mounted upside down, presumably been taken off and put back on wrong by mistake.

If it weren’t for that key, something about the look of the board says NMB Space Invaders to me. But I don’t think the caps can go on upside down. And I’m honest, I’m terrible at ID!

Oh wow I didn't notice the upside down keycap if you wouldn't point that out. I'll get it alongside with qtronix Mistsumi miniature mechanical. It really looks interesting and I don't think I've ever seen such strange looking keyboard. Thank you

Yellow Mitsumis are a neat idea but a lousy switch in practice. Bindiest keyboards I’ve ever used. Make sure not to pay much for that one! The mystery keyboard is way more interesting.

Could be. Depends on shipping, I suppose. The mystery board is the one you want. The Mitsumi will feel lousy, guaranteed. Those switches are #2 in the Top 10 worst switches of all time list by Chyros, if you fancy a chuckle!

Aw thank you so much. At first I thought that my IBM model F will be endgame but nope. There's one more keyboard where I will just pay shipping and it's mine. It's DTK computer with (probably) alps mount doubleshots

Christ, I wish everyone would just stop bashing Mitsumi miniature switches and just can-spray some lube on the tops of the switches / sliders, wiggle them up and down a bit and they're good to go. Some of the very best tactile switches with some of the fastest touch typing potential out there IMHO - especially whites and greens, I don't like yellows quite as much.

Go on then: what lube? And how to get it in there? Should I try a good mist of general door hinge spray?

Because they truly are miserable as they come. I wanted to like them. Beardsmore got my hopes up with a handful of loose switches—which feel so promising—only for the keyboard itself to hammer that illusion like nothing else I’ve experienced in keyboard form! It was such a disappointment (and I’ve had a few, including several miniature Mitsumis now). I’ve honesly nothing to compare it to in keyboarding. I knew MX brown was shite the moment I tried a loose switch. But this? So wrong!

Any silicon based spray will do, WD-40 for example. Just remove the caps and spray each switch from above - no more binding, guaranteed. Now, this may cause some problems with dust gathering in the lube long-term (talking years of use), but it's a great short-term fix.

I've done hundreds, if not thousands of typing speed runs with all kinds of switches (many more than listed here) on 10fastfingers and green / white Mitsumis are in / near the top five of all times with comparatively few attempts:

Found this yesterday. Has Futaba MA41 switches and a 5 pin DIN connector. Anyone know anything about it? Possible year?
It has all they keys except the left ctrl; took the pic while pulling keycaps off (which are doubleshot).

I have looked across the entire internet for information on this keyboard, or even a picture of it, but I cannot seem to find one. I identified one of the chips on the board as a Schmitt trigger, which leads me to believe that it's a Hall Effect keyboard. Can anyone tell me more about it?

The FCC ID is DJ268K8815K, and the only other label on the back (which I assume to be the model number) is E001758.

Some additional info on this keyboard: It has an NEC chip dating back to 12/07/83, and the switches have cross-mount stems which are a little bit larger than Cherry's. The PCB appears to be made by a company called Keytek, and when you look up the FCC ID, it yields the following phrase: "The use of a non-shielded keyboard connection cable is prohibited". This thing is quite shrouded in mystery and improper archiving.
