I was sure you already had one of those...nice get either way.
I bought some £1.50 coiled USB cables from China a few weeks ago, I think that's the last interesting thing I bought. I'm rock and roll like that.

I used to have the AEG Olympia G81-3015 version, but I really disliked the coffee-ish colours of those AEG Olympia caps..

Ah OK, so this is the "traditional" Cherry beige then, got it.
Stick it on your 5000, make us all wet our pants

GMK Dolch moogle kit for the 2 Dolch Keyboards I have (ISO and ANSI)
Nice, I would need one of these... where do you get these if I may ask?
I saw a Reddit.com/r/mechmarket thread about 3 weeks ago where the people from
Originative where selling random keycaps from add-ons (like cmyw) and from some keysets. They weren't saying anything about GMK Dolch keycaps but I sent them a mail anyway. They were kind enough to sell me the 10 GMK Dolch keycaps (+Esc) that I needed.

Yeah, this is the bog standard G80-1000HAR. I think I will stick it on the 5000, but I have another plan for the caps too..

Ah, I see, thanks for answering! So that's Dolch dark grey, I didn't watch close enough and thought it was black... The spacebar should have given it away...
Nice find anyway!

Just found what I believe to be a pair of Avid Apple Extended Keyboard II's. This should match nicely with my "Avid Ready" Power Macintosh 9600 for which I didn't have a keyboard. I don't think I've seen one before (at least I wasn't looking before). For these video editing keyboards, does anyone know if those coloured key caps fit over the normal key caps underneath? I could use another AEK II for something else.
Here's a pic:

They're AEK IIs all right. Avid simply made its own caps. They still did that a few years ago, when Apple's dome keyboardsstill had easily replaceable caps. Not so sure now though.
Edit: Nope. Avid has some OEM now. The boards are in Apple's 2007-2015 style, but aren't identical like before:

I just got what appears to be a G80-1000HASRO:
Filthy, incomplete, but a HASRO all the same.
Paging photekq!

Nice find, 3000 case though.

Really, PM me if you want to sell it. I will buy it. It's not NIB, but after searching for 2 fucking years I'll take used.
Oh and.. very, very nice find! Congrats!

Oh yeah, silly me. It's lacking the lip from the 1000 series. Thanks for the correction, guk.
@photekq: surely this isn't the one you mentioned?! I thought you already had it?

Yeah, it's the one I'm looking for.. Absolutely looks like a HASRO to me.
No, I never got it.. Not after all these years..

Yeah scottc, you got it! So happy for you!
And yeah, this is a 3000 HASRO, there was a photo with the back label on the ad.

Bloody Poland! First 10 Czech boards and now a Russian one! It seems it really is the place to be for the _seriously rare_ Cherry boards.

Don't forget my duo of G80-2500HAUs, one NIB and one N but-only-in-contents-of B and unusual "Giulup"-branded G81-3000HAU.

I suppose they're just mildly interesting, though. I just wish I could find a G80-5000 here...
Don't blame Poland, blame the hobbyists for fanaticising over Slavic boards.

I don't know, I'd give a vital organ for one of those PL boards, not so much the RU or Korean ones.
Posted: 30 Nov 2015, 14:28
by scottc
G80-5Ks are vital organs, right?
I can't say I blame the enthusiasts at all. They're glorious boards! Though I have to say, the calm blue secondary legends of the G81-3000SATs is much nicer than the HASRO. I just can't justify using mine, it's so pristine!
Posted: 30 Nov 2015, 14:33
by HzFaq
Nah, 5ks are worth like 2/3 vital organs

.
Posted: 30 Nov 2015, 14:35

Feels nice having 2 whole extra vital organs

I find a G80-5000 without its special G80-5700 numpad is worth only 1/2 of a vital organ

I like these exchange rates...
So, does anyone have a spare dye subbed numpad / and enter key?
I think Ramnes sold a few partially incomplete French dyesub sets, maybe I can pester him about it.

WTT dye-sub numpad for a SAT
