Agreed.
I will try to post some renders with black and white cases anon.

BTW, I think Strawberries & Cream should be renamed Rasberries and Cream, because RAS(berry).
And you should take my cream&biege option off since that render is a render of Ail's colorway (i.e., give those votes to Rasberries & Cream instead and take cream & biege away).

The green in #32 looks beautiful.
Anyway, I've cast my vote...

The "Hello Kitty" colour scheme (#20, clearly
posted as a joke) got 5 votes.

I would think many of those votes come from the same people. It's also a bit surprising that another picture of the same color scheme is getting almost double the votes!
It's looking like Round 7 will be some collection of cream/beige/tan (and maybe grey) alphas and modifiers that can be mixed and matched, plus some colorful modifier accent kits. I think this would allow people to put kits together that get close to the current leading contenders and be on the order of the number of colors offered in rounds 5 & 6. Plus, the colors might go well with existing Retro and Filco SA caps that are out there.

Voted, for everything cream.
I'm torn between 32 and 33 as my favourites. I prefer the alpha and mod colours of 32, but the font and RGB on 33 is super cool..

32 and 33 are one and the same, actually, just in reverse video.
There will be
- Normal layout
- Greek layout
- Cadet layout
- Romanian layout
available.
Plus text and symbol legends, and everything in RGB or monochrome!

That's good to hear, almost too many choices! Thanks for the info 7bit.
Cadet and Greek are both super cool fonts, it will be hard to choose just one..
By the way, any chance we'll see matching relegendables as an option for these sets?

Yes, since I found one in the grab bags I want them myself, just for their look.

Both still look great, to be honest.
Worst case, we can make a round of custom cases to go with these keysets

I've already asked if SP still has the tools to make the cases of the WYSE terminal keyboards. But seems they have them not.

Combine Zeigen (#15) and Greek (#33) in some way 7bit! I absolutely adore the Greek alphabet.
Do it for him

Sure, they look nice. But they don't look
right.
I suppose one could always just paint a white keyboard to be biege or bronze...

I'm a little surprised that the leading vote earner right now is basically just a reverse Dolch scheme. I would have thought the world was sick of Dolch by now. Not that I'm complaining; I love Dolch and I think a reverse Dolch is a lovely idea. I just didn't think many other people wanted more of it also.

That's the power of red/orange accents.

Quick and crappy photoshop, but please consider it 7bit.
I wanted to do one with orange alpha legends too, but it wasn't easily done in photoshop. It would be great if you could make some better renders from your original files

Maybe later ...
I think we should find some other manufacturer. The tools SP has made for my group buys (and pleasantly uses for all subsequent buys (OK, why not

) and commercial productions (

) ) where not
that expansive.
All we need to find, is a manufacturer who is willing to produce what we want.
BTW:
Wasn't there someone in China doing Cherry keycap clones?

Taiwan-based Vortex, Ducky, Gateron are some of the better-known and higher quality keycap manufacturers in Asia. They have all made some great PBT keycaps, some of them doubleshots. Then there is IMSTO, who is a dye-subbing specialist. There are also companies like Leopold, KeyCool and Varmilo, but I'm not sure how much of their keycaps they manufacture themselves.
Tai-Hao are also popular. Although their keycaps are affordable, they are quite thin and I don't see the same quality as Ducky for example. But they do have Alps tooling and they are behind the V60/V80 MTS keycaps. I also suspect they have manufactured Matias keycaps.
I imagine that just between these companies there are a lot of keycap manufacturing facilities that are just sitting idle, waiting for orders

But I'm not sure how many of these companies are capable or even interested in creating custom keycaps at a good price point. I don't think many people have tried, the notable exception being CtrlAlt with
JT Keycaps.
Over in Europe, I know the QWERkeys team ran group buys for keycaps from UK-based
Devlin Electronics. And Danish company
BSP are also still around. Both of them offer custom keycap services.

All I'm interested in are doubleshot sphericals.
