Ok, I've sent the PCB to the board house a coule of weeks ago and today, I've got some nice package

I will do some tests and build up one with the SMD parts and the Atmel controller. If someone wants to join me with testing the board, we will arrange something (decent soldering/programming skills needed).

Nice idea, similar to the Diverge TM

I would be very interested in this, more so if I can pay extra to get pre-assembled board with components soldered, as I am not very confident with a soldering iron.

If you want to use it as a macro pad, maybe consider buying relegeable keycaps.

Sorry for the long silence.
We are currently working on the firmware part and a "agent", which will run on the hostsystem.
As soon as this two parts are ready, I post some instructions here to order a PCB, how to solder the parts, how to flash the firmware, how to test the whole thing etc. So stay tuned

Sorry, I had no free time to work on this in the last month. If you want to help me out, I can send you the blank PCB.

I have some very busy weeks ahead, so I think I will not have much time to work on this project for the next couple of weeks. But I have not forgotten this hole thing, I will catch up if I get some spare time.
