The popup window after a mouse click on the username is sufficient enough. (at least for me)
Adding coloured flags (I asume because black/white makes no sense) throws off the simple grayscale theme even more.
The coloured avatars are distractions enough.
But this is just my opinion, though.
If there is a possibility to restrict access or forbid posting (reading only) on the marketplace unless the location field is filled in, I opt for this solution. Of course there should be a sticky about this in the marketplace.
