Anyone else from here coming?
Edit: oops, just noticed that someone posted on Facebook that there's a new location:
Cote Brasserie
57 Whitecross St,
London EC1Y 8AA
YESSSSS THANKS OMG... THE NEW LOCATION IS EXACTLY THAT.

That was great fun, lads and lasses, really nice to have met you, try some cool keyboards, and hopefully you enjoyed trying my boards as well

.
On one hand I'm a bit sad I didn't take the Battleship; on the other I'm quite happy with that decision xD .

I had a great time today, it was lots of fun and it was nice to meet PollandAkuma, Chyros, Pexon and all the other people there.

I even got some lube out of it...
I didn't get any pictures, I think there was a group shot though!
Hopefully all the vintage goodies were good enough to convince some DT newbs to come hang out here too.

Was there? xD Was that at the end or something then?

Yeah, someone mentioned they were waiting for you to leave first?
No, it was right at the end, unfortunately almost nobody was there anymore!

Waiting for chyros to leave first? The blasphemy!
Jokes aside, had a damn good time molesting boards amd discovering what I like and don't like and creating a very useful shopping list with at least ten items on it LOL.
Who knew that Alps clickies were that good... and that I have a thing for heavy af boards.

Shame you didn't make it, ShivaYash! HzFaq couldn't make it either so maybe we could organise a small unofficial follow-up sometime later, if anyone is up for it

I think people mentioned the next official MK UK meetup would be next year and maybe in Birmingham.
My only pic so far:

I'm glad it was a success. Sounds like you all had a good time. If it wasn't a 5000 mile one way trip, I'd have tried to make it.
Maybe next year.

There is something to be said for typing on an immovable object.
I have often thought that a keyboard literally glued down in place would feel great, but obviously I have never tried it.

Here's the photos I got from the meetup! Should have taken more while it was busier, but I was just having a great time talking to everyone and trying out all the boards. If anyone has any extra info that could be added to any images, feel free to comment.

Thanks for sharing the photos! Photo #23 is my PJRC OneHand "20%" prototype with a layered acrylic case. It was originally meant to be a chorded keyboard but I think PJRC eventually started using it with layers like other small form-factor boards.

After spending most of the meetup over on the vintage keyboards table, I decided that I should probably be here. Great day, great selection of keyboards.
And my word, those Amber Alps!

They were my favourite too! I was pleasantly surprised by the magnetic valve board and gourd springs too, cheers Chryos for bringing those.
Also, welcome

That blank ErgoDox in Dvorak...
And Chyros is not there? Perhaps searching for the next keyboard somewhere.

Chyros was indeed there, I just goofed and didn't take the group picture until half the people there had to leave. I was too busy talking to as many different people as I could and trying out all the boards.
