Vintage Blacks are still a bit smoother than this new run of Cherry switches, but they have noticeably improved.

speed silver actuate earlier.
you can also take a look at the grafic when you scroll down here:
https://www.cherrymx.de/en/dev.html
see the alpha+number code
Cherry speed silver have the following code: MX1A-51NN
so they have the "standard" slider/stem.

I hope this was a joke, and not an indication that you didn't bother reading the wiki …

Ah, interesting. A possible reason that I never realised how the MX part schema worked is that red was given a seemingly random alpha code (MX1A-L1
nn) instead of the expected numeric code (MX1A-41
nn). That nature white is 41 implies that no undiscovered switch was given code 41, but goodness knows where tactile switches H1, I1, J1 and K1 got to!

Got some from another channel, at first I was worried by the short travel but they are very close to vintage blacks in smoothness and are damn silent indeed!
What do you think about them?

I just gave them a quick try on a switch tester but I quite like them. I was afraid they would fell mushy but they are fine and yes they are really silent compared to regular blacks !

In the end I found they feel pretty bad with SA, using tipro caps make them more usable, short travel distance I guess.
