yep the alps board keycaps(its a rebranded chicony called MITAC) must have dyed printed caps, they're not DS so i think it must be dyed sub caps. These stayed pretty good. For Acer ones, i'm considering painting them with vinyl dye, they're extremely yellowed too, so i think that might be a good solution.

While soaking caps for a few days then washing in the machine did the job for all keysets of mine before as mentioned above, I recently run into an apple set where the caps are so nasty they come out with still some sort of grey stain on them.
It's almost like some sort of cloudish black dirt is rubbed into the structure.
Denaturized alcohol and a lot of rubbing seems to be able to get rid of that but I'm not very keen on cleaning 104 keys by hand. Will have to look into soom stronger solvents I guess.
