Another Canon typewriter with Alps Cream switches. There are actually switches below those blank keycaps, so AP210X seems to have same keyboard as AP360.

Got this fella today - German-Language AP560.
Really funky mix of SKCP, SKCP Double Action, SKCL Green, and even... SKCL Double Action. Note how they used an SKCL Green without LED top left, but then for some reason have SKCL Double Action bottom right.
Still, this is largely in line with what I expected based on
subcat's 2017 post.

Very very impressive. I would offer to buy if I wasn't so broke!

This makes sense - I have an AP360 with SKCM Cream and the assortment of various switches on the side panels. They only used double action switches for the double action keys, all single action (LED or not) were SKCL green. I assume the SKCL Double Action were significantly more expensive. The key in question is the Cursor Forward key, so holding that down would essentially enable key repeat for it

That is a really nice find! With such rare switches. BTW, if you are going to desolder switches, would you consider selling the green ones? I have some greens but not yet enough for keyboard and would like to buy some more.

A keyboard for ages! Try erasing the letters on it, just like on ordinary modern keyboards!

Interesting! I wonder what kind of switches my 1980's era Brother electric typewriter had in them (lost the typewriter in a divorce so can't check).

AP810 is SKCM Cream and SKCL Green. No weird double action switches.

Thanks for sharing the info. Could you still share a picture? Canon machines have so many different kind of keyboards, so it is easier to identify with picture.

I unfortunately don't have any new discoveries to share, but I figured I'd give notice of what I've done with the Canon page : I added a bunch of information since it used to be all over the place and wasn't up-to-date. I wanted to added a basic indentification guide but I realised it had nothing to do with Canon as a brand anymore, so I created a new page for all of this typewriter stuff.

AP-200, my guess is SKFF
More likely to be SKCC.
AP-300, my guess is SKCM Cream
SKCC for sure, check the round centered lock lights
AP-550, my guess is SKFF
This one is correct and AFAIK so are the SMK ones listed

there's a AP300-II that has alps common mount (don't know for sure which kind) which only has AP300 on the case, the lock lights and layout are different between them

German AP800 - SKCM cream undamped, SKCL green and a single SKCM black (pine!) on spacebar.
