Alright look at all this awesome feedback again. Thanks guys!

So what I do read is make the 'normal' keys programmable and there is no need for a extra set of dedicated keys on the left... Good stuff :)

Lesson learnt
although obviously the form factor seems to be equally important to quite a few.

For the gaming market I think 75% boards like noppoo choc mini or race (with F1-F12) better suits. Fast and direct access to F1-F12. No combo needed.
There are many 60% boards already available. More than 75%.

Seems the other way around to me. What other 60%s are there in current production besides the Poker II and HHKB? There's a difference between group buys and things you can buy off the shelf in general.

I think there's a lot of potential for a 60% with widespread availability from someone like CM. And the same is true for the 75% zone as well.

Ok, might be better I say there are enough keyboards without F1-F12. Than we could add the Leopold FC660*. ;)
Also there is a ISO variant of the Poker2 (from Ducky?).

If I check ebay, Race and Noppoo Choc mini are not available here (anymore). Poker and Leopold I could buy in many different kinds.

Overall I see no benefit for gamers for a keyboard without F1-F12. You gain no vertical space.
Also I would like to program some F-keys for direct activation.

I game a lot and never use FKeys, I think this depends on the games you play.
