I like the work one better.

10 hours of white noise. How convenient - it should cover the whole work day. If it runs out, you know you've been working too long.

White noise stuff really gets me focused on my stuff, but Joe Bonamassa is king :)

Indeed, Bonamassa is the MAN!

This music's all listen only, until we start uploading our own compositions. Where'd I put that harmonica?

I'd love to get my hands on Compose for the BBC Micro.

Here's my first attempt at composing with Logic Pro (music over Solaris scene):

(yes, it's short and primitive... but what did you expect?)

..and this is a piece I made in 1990 with Deluxe Music on the Amiga 500:

Edit: I deleted them and closed my account because of the unbelievably annoying advertisements they added.

No Shit.
The last couple of minutes (it's Afrobeat, it's long) are just superb.

Heh, while we are at this: Here are some of my tries to make music.
None of those are finished though, just some things I tried with Reason :D

You're all ahead of me. I have songs in mind, but bugger all skills at any instrument. I record ideas with humming and cautious, all too self conscious singing, but there's a reason why every tribe we've ever discovered had a few guys on hand particularly good at banging drums and blowing whistles. Damn it, I still need a band.

Ableton live can create a midi track from a recording so you might be able to hum your stuff and have it converted to midi track and then set an instrument for that

I think that's my favourite of your tests. Even though I don't like "beat" (repetitive stuff drive me insane), this has a frantic Amiga demo-like quality. :)

Shit - I just noticed that Dailymotion is adding advertisements to my video. That's fucking annoying. Isn't there any free video upload that doesn't add crap like that?

It was mainly a test to create an aggressive DnB bassline :)

If you video is < 200mb you could try http://www.zippyshare.com. It's a one click hoster but you can play uploaded videos without downloading.

And why not use YouTube?

I closed my Youtube account and all Google accounts when they accused me of copyright infringement for that pathetic 40 second clip of Solaris that I put my music over. It's only graphics - no sound, no actors in the clip - just to test my music. I even gave proper attribution. I've seen a hell of a lot more infringement on Youtube than that.

i would share my bands but davkol and mr_a500 would try to argue with me about what the definition of a band is and photek would tell me that the kind of music i play is dead because of a word.

@cookie This white noise audio is great, reminds me to something similar, the tibetian singing bowls,
if you merge both tracks, white noise and the singing bowl, it gives an eerie feel, not too bad.

You're right - eerie and relaxing. Nice ambiance.

It reminds me of a clip I made on my Amiga. I sampled a bit from Legend (1985), slowed it down, doubled and flipped it so that it could be smoothly looped. I could play it for hours - very relaxing.
