Final cost updated

I've set a small box to 200 keys (of various sizes) and updated shipping to Canada.

Please review, this is hopefully very close to the real thing.

We have a very very small margin of error. This mean that all of you have to pay or the system collapses :P

Consider that you'll have only 1 week to pay, if you think you can't make it, cancel your order now.

My suggestion, especially for international orders, is to take as many keys as possible until you see a big bump in the final cost. The bump is most likely due to shipping expenses.

Of course if you can merge orders with one or more friends it's easier for us and cheaper for you. But payment must come from just 1 paypal account.

Would be cool to see where the orders are coming from around the world... not specific addresses, and not tied to individual users, just list countries and count... in your free time, of course

Of course, I might be the only one who finds that sort of thing interesting...

Was thinking, is there anything clever you could do with peoples orders? USA people want ANSI only, not interested in our keys. Typically you could let the users swap keys after the group buy.

What if language kits were ordered to cover the people that need them. But the language kit users ANSI keys that they don't use go back into the pot. These could be added to the ANSI users sets as spare keys they could use.

nice idea. usually US people don't like those kind of things, anyway if I get 100% control over the GB I'll do my best to keep ISO keys as low as possible.

Ahh, but isn't the ANSI kit just another language set? Granted it is probably a larger slice, but to be fair, shouldn't everyone be chipping in... Personally I'm fine having the ISO keys merged into the ANSI kit to just make a base kit... so what, a few keys I won't use... split that cost across 300+ orders and it comes down to pennies. Besides, someone might want to buy those extra ISO pieces for $2 and I can go out and get 2 mcfatburgers off of the dollar menu.

I guess I'm in the minority of US/ANSI buyers who think this way. I'm not sure what the point of my post was...

the problem is that ISO for 6 languages are approx 80 keys, so more than the base ANSI. but the real issue here are the molds. It depends on the keycaps family, but don't think GMK has them.

yes! that is insane! And I suggested to use 2 small boxes instead of the med box. but that would add work to the packaging people and also more chances of error.

Ok, i will cancel half of my order.
Sorry but i'm not going to pay the same amount for shipping a heavy custom korean kb and a bunch of caps.
This is however the best GB i've seen.
Congratulations!

A break down of order locations might work, you might find that a few people are happy to distribute for their country.

Or even just a couple of people teaming up for combine postage.
Less work at your end/s eitherway.

I'm waiting for a release to use the stepped 1.75 key. I believe this is very important and worth waiting a couple of days for it.

So.

Official deadline is:
This Sunday, February 24 at 23:59:59 GMT

There might be some very small price variations in the next few days (in the +/- $2 range, so I hope this won't be a problem). Please note the final price is taking some time because we are trying to make things right. I could have blindly added shipping based on keycaps number, instead I'm making an average between total cost spent and keycaps number.

Payment deadline is:
Friday, March 1 at 23:59:59 GMT
