DSA Retro has SHIF T, too. Typical SP kerning issues.

7bit, if you still need help with sorting this weekend, I can offer you couple of hours.
Just drop me a PM.

They did a lot more legends right this time. The next time I will make sure (by paying extra) that we get SHIFT. Also I will tell them to send us the tool to make the SHIF T legend so it can't ever happen again!

I thought you would come later this year...
Wait until the weekend and you can take the spherical stuff with you!

Wow that are a lot of boxes and even more keycaps to sort
Thank you for doing this!
Posted: 18 Apr 2013, 21:47

It takes some time to unpack just one box. It seems that more than 50% are my own stuff (POS, FUNCTION, MODIFIER, NUMERIC, TERMINAL) and less than 50% is mainstream (STANDARD, TKL, etc.) and fun stuff (GAMER, single keys like keyboard runner etc.).

No alcohol! And no baggy pants

Do you still take on orders for the leftovers? 7bit_r4 doesn't seem to read my PM from last night. Of course I know you have a few thousand other things to sort out at the moment...

The script is run manually, so you'll only get a response from it when 7bit decides to kick it.

Ah, thank you, then I guess everything's good.

Anyone know what the ETA would be for the sorting to be completed?
Also does anyone know how to check what their current delivery address is? (from memory I had to send a message to the bot but its been a year or two ago and I can't remember)
Posted: 20 Apr 2013, 09:07
by 7bit
The bot's name is 7bit_R4 . Just send him a message.
Sorting will take around 3 weeks.

Ehmagerd. LOTS of keycaps.
I’m kinda curious how much they screwed with Neo. Many strange legends, much potential to screw up.

Just come here to say thank you, 7bit, and everyone else who is doing the great job in this GB.

Thanks!
As far as I came, I can say that SP did really an excellent job this time.
Only 2 keys missing, so far. Can't tell if it was my fault or theirs...
SPH is finished. ROUND3/ORANGE is nearly finished.
Tomorrow comes the regular ROUND3-stuff ...

are you sorting 100% of the keys before shipping anything? Not that it would affect me, since I got one of most of the sets, just curious.
Posted: 21 Apr 2013, 00:13
by 7bit
Yes, I first sort and then ship.
edit: Orange stuff is 100% complete.

Damnit 7bit, you seem to be a real sorting machine.
What are the missing keys btw?

Yes, sorting first makes the most sense. If you run into any issues toward the end you can double check when you still have all the keys. If you had shipped some of them off you couldn't be sure where the issue happened to be.
Are the Retro sets among the ones you have?

Hey 7bit, if you have some orange spares left over let me know, I'm interested in some caps
Keep on sorting, we're all with you

I thought ROUND3 would be much more popular than SPH, and now you tell us that SPH is the popular one! MORE SPH IN THE FUTURE? I never typed in a spherical key, I'm excited about it....

Payment/"shipping" update
Post-post-Closing/Leftovers/??? payments from jabar (2013-04-18,yy-mm-dd) and Halvar (2013-04-21) have been received and marked as shipped for PP (although we all know that we are looking at SP finishing the production mid February 2013 (read: never), then caps being shipped for sorting, then shipped to their final destination, i.e. you). That is to avoid PP account lock ups, that they like to do. Invoices may or may not reflect the change, but they will. Please keep in mind I only account for payments made to me via paypal.
Note: Addresses on the Paypal invoices are not the addresses 7bit uses to ship your keycaps to. He uses whatever address that is listed on your invoice.

Code: Select all
Order-ID | Qty| Pcs| Total
SPH |1028|21388|16663.00
ROUND3 |1582|21159|16484.50
RETRO |1043|17340|14388.00
NOIR | 957|11383| 9532.00
There are fewer SPH kits than ROUND3, but a few more SPH key caps and a bit more money wasted on them.
megnin wrote:Are the Retro sets among the ones you have?
I started with SPH and now I will finish ROUND3 today.
Next to come: the RETRO-madness!

Looking for MX Browns TKL boards without keycaps.................
OT: did you also had problems with any keyboards? My leopold Control key gets stuck sometimes, and the Cm Quickfire I had to solder the PCB in several places...

I tried the SPH-keys on an Alps board, but I could not mount them.
Same problem with the 122 key Model M ....
I will send them back to SP.
