Damn what a nice find!
Fantastic! Thanks, man!

I bought the keyboard instantly after seeing your reply :D . Here are some pics (it should arrive within a couple of weeks). I'll clean it up, and then let's document the hell out of it!

I do not even know if I should expect linear, tactile or clicky switches.
The ones on my KB are either linear or very bad tactile. Or, of course, the switches are damaged.

I've yet to get around to restoring my KB. It needs a lot of work, including retr0brighting.

Anyone know what this is? It doesn't look particularly obscure but I haven't managed to identify it yet.

Looks like it could be a dome with slider

Does anyone know of any ALPS mount DWS switches? I came across one at a thrift store today I thought about buying but it was six dollars and I couldn't justify the price. The caps appear to be printed.

I think there are a fair number of them. Some Apple Design Keyboards and the Acer 65xx seem to be dome-with-slider, but stabilizer layouts may vary compared to conventional switch designs.

Looks like a Futaba MA switch to me, the MX mount variant. Where did you come across this semi-dirty specimen? :)

thanks both, men.

I keeping this for 1+ year but never tried to check what it is, last night I did some cleaning and noticed it, but google searches didnt give much help.

The keyfeel is different with other switches I have experienced, I'll not say I have lot love with it, probably will let it go soon.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the quick response, appreciate it. Add a pic.

Something really odd going on with that #2 key :D

Are you in Europe? In that case I might be interested if you put it up for sale.

And I'd probably buy it from you if you're in the US :D. I have one with inverse cross mounts and I like it a lot.

Huh, had no idea there were people looking for futaba keyboards. I have a Chicony 5191 with the MX mount version, in very nice shape. (near NOS, I'd say). I'm in the Czech Republic. If any EU people want it, PM me. :)
(sorry to hijack the thread, I wouldn't even list this in the For Sale section if I didn't see the last few posts)

I really like the copper mounting plate.

My guess is foam and foil.

It's an inverse cross mount. I've got my brightness turned up :D.

Thank you for the insight hellothere.

In case anyone is interested I’ll provide some more context. The pic is from the following listing for which the seller kindly removed a keycap: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tastatur-ATM-T ... 4917985985

I found some more pictures of the board on another website: https://bw-schmitti.de/produkt/tastatur ... tst-102mt/

Cool. Possibly military surplus, per the link you posted. That one had ... something done in 2010. Or that's when it was made. I'm sorry to say that I can't read or speak German.

I'll leave my comment on foam & foil. This thing's got stepped switches and a DB-9 connector. It doesn't scream "new" to me. Maybe 2010 is just an inventoried year or decommission year.

German isn't my first language, but it is my distant second, and I like the chance to shake off some of my rust in using it.
Here's my translation of some bits of it. Corrections from native speakers very welcome!

Tastatur TST 102 MT

Tastatur=keyboard; I think 102 key keyboard

Maße: 44 x 23 x 5 cm
Size is 44 x 23 x5 cm

Mit integrierter Rollkugel und QWERTZ-Tastatur
Uses a QWERTZ layout (as opposed to QWERY) with an integrated rollerball (track mouse)

Spiralanschlusskabel mit Stecker 9-polig männlich
Spiral cord with 9 position/pin male connector (looks like DB-9 male)

Hope this helps.

P.S. and Edit:

abstrahlgeprüfte means inventoried in a loose way I don't fully understand.

Hopefully the seller is willing to ship to the US, I have an G80-1800 compatible assembly I'm sure would fit inside.

That would be quite interesting, but it doesn't seem so based on the limited photos of those switches. It looks like an early Cherry switch, but who knows.

That 2nd picture is SKFF, looks like from a Cannon typewriter, no idea what the previous switch is

Yeah, and for the keyboard above it actually kinda looks like Apple hairpin spring switches. That's the only thing I could see on the switch recognition page that resembles those switches.

Edit: The only thing is though, if those were hairpin spring switches I'm sure we would see the characteristic hairpin on the top of the switch housing. So maybe not...?

I've draw a blank on this switch - and the keyboard too. The switch is clicky, perhaps an Alps clone of some sort, but with a simple rectangular slider like an SMK 2nd Gen switch. Doesn't feel too bad at all. Does anyone recognize it?

Is this a NCR branded G80 with vintage blacks or could it have Alps Skcl Green?
