Yeah, right! Seems they are reading out forums to see what people demand!
Someone send Unicomp a telex that they should make BS-stems with Cherry MX key mounts on top!

it would be so ironic if noppoo patented the stem

I could limit the amount of key caps to exactly 25000 and raise the prices when we get near that mark.
But seriously, I will lower prices instead to get even more orders in.

Phew!
So how big is this GB looking, compared to Round 4 SPH?
Posted: 02 Nov 2013, 15:46
by 7bit
Round 4 color choices:
SPH: grey / blue / red extras
ROUND3:very dark grey / grey / orange / red extras
RETRO: light grey / dark grey / RGBY modifiers / Symbol modifiers / RGBY Symbol modifiers

NOIR: black / red extras
Round 5 color choices:
HONEY: white / grey / black / red
Round 5 is smaller. It is more like Round 3 was.

Yes, Round 4 was insanely complex. But how about rough numbers of orders? You're pleased with how well this one is going, but Round 4 was so much bigger with multiple profiles etc. that I wonder which one wins.

Awesome!
Muirium wrote:Hmm… Mail you say? Web, Editor, Dev, Terminal, etc. come to mind. (Of course I'd have to figure out macros to open / switch to each one of them.) Anyone else use their function keys as app launchers?
That would be awesome aswell. Going to migrate to Linux in the future when there is flying cars. Maybe there can be a macrokit for this type of keys? But i'm not sure wich row it would be then?
Example:
HONEY/MACROKIT/RED - Different keys like, MAIL, TERMINAL(TERM?), CALC, POWER, COMP
This to make your work less hard. And maybe you can earn a few extra €

Addes to FUNCTION kit:
MAIL
TERM
CALC
POWER
COMP
I will split it up into 2 kits.
Also: there might be a red version of this, too.

Nice! Any reason why HONEY/TKL/RED and HONEY/TKL/BLACK are R3 and HONEY/ALPHA/RED is R1-R4?

This way, key caps can be swapped accross rows. We discussed this already.
More:

HONEY/FUNCTION2
The ? keys are placeholders for more legends.

HONEY/FUNCTION7

Have you thought about stuff like iso base in full red or black? I don't know if it could be financially interesting...
At least a HONEY/FUNMOD/RED would be enough to build them by adding kits together.
Thank you for the hard word, this time i am gonna be patient. Last time i gave up my order after a few months, and i regret it but this time seems to be the perfect time to have a complete iso kit (thank you for the SA JRET).

It depends on the space bar. Some Leopold keyboards are not compatible with our 6.25 units space bar.
Fo the rest: Just post a picture of your keyboard

For a noob like me... this is getting complicated lol
must buy one of each for ultra compatibility (because this is such a beautiful set)
to fit "future" projects.

Please see that in HONEY/ALPHAINT/RED are row 1-2-3-4 while in HONEY/INTER/RED are all row 3 so mixing those (the only option for making an iso set) will be a little weird

7bit you beautiful man/thing!
QUESTION:
I will now either get the red + black kit (all Row 3)
Or the red alphas (Rows 1-4) and the black mod kit (Row 3)
Is it blasphemy to mix rows? It's also a little cheaper to just get the premade red + black but not really a concern.

Incredible GB 7bit, great colours and kits! What to choose...
Hey, with all the black base/cursors/numpad could do a IBM 3277 look
or with the Round 4 SPH alphas could do this!

I see you added PRIOR and NEXT from Round 4, thanks - I was going to ask about those!
How about RECORD ? Would be great with PLAY for macros as well as audiovisualwhatever capture.
Also, I always wanted a more subtle any key that just said ANY, but maybe that's just what a pedant would say.

Missing the Swahili language kit in black, red and green.

The inconsistency is causing me headaches. I understand that the additional mod or function kit need to be all row 3 as they are to complement the standard or TKL or base kits. But when the honey/black/TKL and honey/red/TKL complete set is also all row 3, it puzzles me.

RECORD button added to HONEY/FUNCTION2 and HONEY/FUNCTION2/RED.

Maybe I should make a poll.
The advantage of all-row 3 is that language kits are cheaper.

Is HONEY/TKL (TKL kit | $69) the 87 key version of the HONEY/STANDARD?

Somehow. Just take a look:

Hi 7bitbot,
two suggestions:
1) Right now, there's a mix available of sets in row1-4 profile and sets in all-row3 profile. I feel it would be a
very good idea to reflect the profile in the name of the kits.
E.g. HONEY/ALPHAR3/RED instead of HONEY/APLPHA/RED to make clear it's row3 only.
2) Now that there's a range of all-R3 sets, how about a small add-on kit to cater Dvorak and Colemak typists? Deep dish U, I, T and N; available in red and white.

HONEY/NO | 2| 20| 17|USD|NO language kit
HONEY/PT | | 18| 19|USD|PT language kit
HONEY/SE | 4| 21| 17|USD|SE language kit
HONEY/ES | | 21| 19|USD|ES language kit
HONEY/IT | | 17| 19|USD|IT language kit
HONEY/FR | 7| 27| 24|USD|FR language kit
HONEY/UK | 5| 6| 8|USD|UK language kit
HONEY/UK/RED | | 5| 7|USD|UK language kit
HONEY/BEPO | | 44| 35|USD|BEPO language kit
HONEY/BEPOALPHA | 1| 51| 39|USD|BEPOALPHA language kit
HONEY/COLEMAK | | 14| 12|USD|COLEMAK language kit
HONEY/DVORAK | | 26| 24|USD|DVORAK language kit
There seems to be not much interest in COLEMAK or DVORAK.

That's because I haven't ordered yet

The all-R3 sets would only require 2 additional keys to make them suitable for Dvorak (deep dish U, H) or Colemak (deep dish T, N). Combine these two sets in a cheap 4 key kit and there just might be a few more people interested.

:
The classic white language kit are row 1 to row 4 and the HONEY/TKLISOBASE in grey is like other initial kit in row 1 to row 3. So i think it would be cool to also have black and red version in row 1 to 3 like the grey one.
The full R3 base seems to be great only if you are looking for a full red flat board.
Maybe the poll is the solution. Other solution is good old fashioned modifier kit whit different row and if we want to make a full base then we can add cursor and function kit with the row of our choice.
