I've got pricing for the set as it is now (more or less, with very few differences from the latest picture).

All prices in the 50 tier:

Code: Select all

KIT 1: 53.30
KIT 2: 18.67
KIT 3: 29.63
KIT 4: 12.69
KIT 5: 54.78
KIT 6: 22.01
KIT 7: 22.87
KIT 8: 43.17
we need a new mold for 2.75 shift, and 3 new legends. I'm a bit surprised by KIT 5 that is going to cost more than KIT 1 with half the keys. It would be really nice if we could match the 100 tier.

I think I'll remove all the custom keys except for the C64.

@Piers, that's exactly the spirit of the set. I may be adding a blanks kit, but I can't add a kit for each key size.

I'm asking about it to the guy who is actually sorting the keys and making the delivery. last time we talked we agreed at keeping it simple

Just keep the kits as they are and add re-arrangments of the kits in this way:

all 1 unit keys of one color in one kit,
all 1.25 units keys of one color in another,
all 1.5 ...

... .

:-)

This is super easy!

For sorting, all you need to do is recognise colors and sizes.

For the conventional people your slave first sorts the conventional kits.

Then sort the rest according to my plan. It is super easy!

You get bonus points if you split the kits further into blanks and non-blanks.

:-)

it's not a problem of easy to do, just tedious to do :)

Anyway I'm rearranging the keys for sure, since the plum is costing quite a bit I'm prone at making an ALPHA kit so people who want the plum kit spare some bucks on the brown mods (not to mention 7bit happiness)

PS: I'm toying with the idea of doing this on my own... darn import taxes...

How much will shipping be from you to other European locations?

Posted: 05 Feb 2013, 09:27
by matt3o
it varies of course. there are many choices. A good one is called "Minibox Track" which is a tracked shipping and it costs 12 euro for all major EU countries (for 500grams). Otherwise there is the not tracked shipping (just put keys in a bubble envelope and leave it in the mailbox), but of course is risky but I don't know how much is that. I guess around 5/6 euros for low quantities of keys.

12 EUR should be OK.

Shipping to you should be less than $1000, $20 for each if 50 people order.

Import tax is the main problem.

yeah, it would be VAT + fixed. I can ask custom office but I would need to know the total sum

I think is will be around 22-24%.

Maybe direct shipping is better if your US proxy is able to do that.

It is the same problem as with Round 4.

yes, the idea is to do direct shipping. but can't ask him to sort 1u keys for each set. aaaah! this thing is driving me crazy :)

With the current configuration and prices I would be in for 1,2,3,4,6.

Damn, around 130$ only for plastics.

But at least it's pretty plastics.

I'm trying to make some smarter kits. Hope our US proxy won't kill me :)

SP has dumping prices. GMK is the measure for real prices!

Also, the $ is quite cheap at the moment: $130~=96 EUR.

Just don't tell him your address and you'll be fine!

It would be nice if there could be a base kit and two different modifers kit, one with 1.25u bottom row and 6.25u space and one modifier kit with 1.5u bottom row an 7u space. As it is now if I would want this kit with plum modifiers on a win key less board I would have to buy the base, modder and plum kit and pay for ALOT keys that I wouldn't use.
This is a quick example made in paint which I think would fit the most people.
Making it easier to get exactly what you want without having to pay for a lot of keys which you wouldn't use.

of course it misses some keys, but just to give you an idea. blank keys can be ordered separately, but I have to ask our US proxy if this would work for him

Please sell the space bars separately!

There exist a lot of people who don't know what to do with such long keys.

not exactly, all blanks would be sold separately. so if you want ergodox you have to buy 4x 2u + 16x 1.5u.

also, coffee break key is out of the kit I believe since we don't have the mold.

I'm definitely interested in this GB, seeing how i actually have an ANSI 'board now. As long as I can get an extra key (blank or don't care about text) that fits the KBT pure's right shift, haha.

The keys come in the right color for it, so it must be available!!!
