I got my SPH/TKL today and they are ........... bleeping amazing

I love the profile it is far more natural although now i need to buy a wrist rest as they are quite a bit higher than i am used to

I love the fact you get a different shaped f and j key so you can find your home row in the dark

I love the fact that you get both symbols and lettering for the arrow keys, I am going with lettering for now feeling a bit old school

the colour and lettering are amazing for me the lettering on the alphanumeric caps is simply prefect
they sound very nice the space bar is a bit more of a hollow sound that i am used to with the dye sub cherry profile set if have been using but its not a bad sound just different.

a few things i have noticed and this may be me ordering incorrectly for my filco but the return and shift keys look a few mm short to me. not a huge problem you can not notice when typing

the backspace key is not the same profile as the number row . Is it supposed to be like this ? i am guessing its so its harder to hit by mistake unsure if i like it or not it is a good idea though if its supposed to be like that.

as others have pointed out the stabilisers on a flico slip off, as it has been pointed out this is a known issue with SP i can deal with that a bit of double sided tape worked wonders as i was too lazy to get my PTFE out of my tool kit ( had it left over from a water cooling project as a just in case buy )

Great you love the keys.

The tools predate the layout of current keyboards, so not all molds are available.

There is no row 1 2-units key and there are no 2.25 (at least not with the smooth dueface) or 2.75 units keys.I've decided that all of the modifiers and fuction keys will be row 3, so they can used on any row. Only in future group buys we will be able to let them make molds for other keys.

For now, the 6.25 and 7 units space bars where expensive enough.

Been doing a bit of typing and i have decided i like the back space the way it is as you have to actively press it so its harder to accidentally press it when going for \ or =. Still not got used to where the \ is on US board even after like a year of using the flico :).

My SPH/COLEMAK is missing these three vowels: E I O
They should be row 3 profile (flat).

My SPH/SPACE was destroyed in the mail

My RETRO/TKL and RETRO/COLEMAK are looking great though.

7bit, let me know if you have replacements available. I'll send you a PM later on if you don't notice this post.

Shit! I should have packed it better.

I'm quite sure I've got the missing 3 keys. In the worst case scenario I can take them from my SPH/ALPHAR3 kit.

edit: The 3 keys are missing, because I messed about with the list.

They had been ordered, but are not in the kits.

Now I've got to dig through the DUMMY kits ...
:o

IT WAS A FAILURE IN THE SCRIPT!!!!!!

No, just kidding. I did not find the keys in the DUMMY kits I still have, so maybe I sent them to somebody already.

I've got 6x row 3 ALPHA kits from which I can take the 3 missing keys for a total of 6 orders.

7bit, do you have modifiers in any size for SPH that you really want to get rid of? 1u, 1.25u, 1.5u, super, meta, hyper, ... anything...

What happened to the dummy-kit sorting? Do you have any time frame when they will be sorted/shipped?

OK, I've found them (E I O) in a box under my box which had been delivered today.

Currently I type on ROUND3 keys, there is not much change:

That's good news. :)
Do I need to PM you about anything or will you just send them and SPH/SPACE (assuming you have a spare of this) when you can? I'm not in a hurry.

No, but I think I've posted the previouis layout in a thread about programming the Tipros.
BimboBB wrote:Wow, thats some impressive....ähm....input device! :)

The case did not fit with the moduiles left and right (color wise and cna't be attached) so I use it without the topcover.

Looks great :)
I'd probably hit 3 or 4 keys everytime I'd like to hit return! :P

Btw: Is there a generic way how missing / too much keycaps are handled? A few (4) keycaps are missing, but I got a SPH 8 from the numpad to much.
