Chicony of some sort for sure. Besides that, no idea. Might not even be a Chicony but sure as hell looks like one.

What is the PC btw?

I don't really know, but the computer has the Compaq logo. What do you think I will find inside the keyboard? The last thing I want to get is something whit shitty Mitsumi switches or some sort of MX clone.

If it's a Chicony it could be pretty much anything xD

I noticed that all Chicony keyboards came with a big ass enter key, so maybe a Dell AT101 or some other banana shapped brother? This keyboard is freaking me out. Thanks for the help anyways.

Chiconys have been posted here in the past with ANSI and ISO enter keys, so that's still a possibility.

I don't think it's chicony. Different lights. (shifted to the left) I think, that's some normal bigfoot like dell. Also it have missing line above f keys that chicony boards have.

That was VERY useful, that's not a Chicony, nor a Dell nor whatever normal bigfoot, the led cluster is weirdly sized compared to the other common models.

I searched half of deskthority wiki and spend some time on research online. I found nothing similar. It will be funny if it turns out that it is some crappy rubber dome

In the 225013 picture, the one on the right looks very Keytronic. That "It's almost a Model M" case with the little hooks in the LED panel area is distinctily theirs.

So it's probably a rubber domr since it looks a little to recent for foam and foil right?

Can someone help me identify this keyboard?

Front of the keyboard.

Back of the keyboard says "IBM" on the model, but it doesn't look like a Model M or Model F that I've seen.

Top one is something with NMB dome with slider, not worth. Bottom doesn't look much better but I have no idea what it has (probably domes tho).

Hi guys, i am mostly an user of the Discord channel and never use the Forum. Yesterday, i was looking at yahoo auction japan (which i avoided during the pandemy to not loose sleep on not being able to bid) and i found a very weird switch on a PC-98 Keyboard. Bear with me that i am probably not remembering everything about BBcode due to me not using forum in a long time. It's an official NEC Keyboard with the sole identification being a sticker saying "4X61576YJ" (google give no result). Before anybody waste 20min on the Wiki by checking every switch with alps mount, please note that both me and sneaky checked the wiki with alps mount category and found nothing. So it's probably a unknow switch (Kinda like the Panasonic Linear Cuckling Spring which i need to put on the wiki).

Hi! I just got this nasty keyboard, i bought it thinking it could be a Tulip or Monterey (based on its layout), hopefully with white or blue alps, but this has this weird orange-yellow SMK-like switches. I can't found anything in the wiki, anyone knows?

It's clicky and sounds really good.

Thanks!

ok, found it, it's a podworld

Weird. Looks like decent build quality and good layout. How is the feel? Similar to while alps or Montereys?

That is a podworld keyboard with KPT clones. They're decent enough switches, never tried the green ones personally

To the touch is clicky but softer than Alps, similar to SMK blues, but the sound it makes is very close to skcm white/blues, really really good. I will probably make a video comparing the sound of both switches.
