It's too much for a rubberdome, but on the other hand, it is a really, really beautiful board. And I wonder if a top case could be made to fit an Unsaver.

I think orihalcon posted on GH to the effect that it couldn't, since the top section was too narrow.

Just got a Novatouch for a good price, about €90 shipped. I'm a little dubious but after hearing that they've been discontinued, so thought I better try it while I can!

A pro micro (for my model m) from ebay.

Another model m terminal, this time with a IBM square label. Btw the terminal keyboard is from 1986, did this mean it have a thicker metallplate?

Please tell me I got a semi-good deal.

It's a pretty good deal I would say. F122s are really exquisite keyboards. And man, do I want those keycaps!

On it's way to me. Which means that "plain" SSK I just got last week and that I've been restoring for a last couple of days will be on sale soon. It was not meant to be.
And I already know that F7 keycap will drive me nuts. But look at that stepped "Ctrl" key

I think all the FSSK should have stepped modifiers to remind that they are Model F.

Mine from that era has the heavy plate. I bought it for parts but I hate to give up the metal-badged case ....
It also has odd APL-esque sub-legends on the numpad that are practically worn off.

I just picked up a bunch of keyboards over the weekend. After months of thrift shopping, ebay window shopping, and scouring craigslist I have finally gotten a hold of some vintage mechanical goodness. A Model F XT (used), Model F AT(used), Chicony 5181 (new), and two Apple 0110a (new).

I have been a little absent lately as I've been working on restoring a few items including a newly acquired an IBM 5110 (beam spring keyboard) and an IBM System/23 Datamaster (first Model F). Tomorrow I fire them up and see if they still work

I just bought this beauty -- I'm thinking it will have Alps of some sort. Hoping for Greens or Blues.

Lovely sphericals!

Alps sphericals don't show up often to begin with, let alone in a form factor like this! It's part of why I'm so excited about it.

Yeah, I feel like we need a good custom Alps spherical keyset GB, but I don't think (enough) Alps fans like DSA.

I didn't even realize how much it resembled one until now.

I thought a typewriter with similar windows was going to be Alps, but it was something different entirely. Some kind of membrane, I think, despite the caps looking exactly like an Alps variety.
Good luck and keep us posted!

It's a Panasonic, which is another reason to think it's Alps. Seems like most old Panasonics use Alps... Could be wrong, though.
Edit: could be Hosiden switches as well, which are Alps mount.

You have no idea how much I wanted to have my own Wang. Living life without a Wang seems just ... wrong.
edit : wanted an american wang as well, but I was to slow. would have been awesome to get two wangs in one day

Are you still talking about keyboards?
