Those actually have their own processor on the keyboard PCB. If you wanted to use them you would have to probably wire in your own controller on the PCB. It would definitely take work as those keyboards are only meant to be used with a TIPC.

Sadly i forgot to check the auction date for the TI boards and they ran out of time. They remained unsold though, so is gonna message the seller and see if he would be willing to sell them directly. (EDIT, turns out the seller already sold them directly to someone else, so no brown alps for me...)

Definitely gonna try to get that canon board though, already have an blue alps board in the form of an Datacomp DFK-102, but i always found it kinda ugly looking and would gladly replace it with this one.

does someone recognize this external numpad?

Anybody know what type of switch this is, from a Compaq Portable III? Some type of dome with slider I assume?

While I'm also going to vote slider with dome, I just took a quick Internet Expedition and found out that these also came with foam & foil or Alps.

So I know the model of this, supposedly "Philips 2818". Does anyone know anything about this keyboard though? I couldn't google anything. It looks vaguely model M-y? Older Philips supposedly used space invaders, could this one also have them?

Nope. Nothing easily findable. A couple examples here had tall cream Alps.

The layout looks a lot like some zenith/heath terminal keyboards that AFAIK only cane in skcc and skcl. I don't think it would be skff as the caps look newer than that switch range was ever paired with. The LED positions and lack of alps branding on the PCB is also an indicator that it is something else.

Anyone know what this funky thing is? It looks like its PS/2 compatible but there's nothing besides that. The label is useless besides bearing the numbers 18555.

Might be Alps plate spring. The IBM 5576 looks similar and I know I've seen a keeb with the numeric keypad to the left of the navigation cluster before. I'll try to find a match.

Pvc case and lexmark branding on the sticker, I'd say it's just a super weird model m or maybe a rubber dome.

The top picture doesn't represent a model m.

It's definitely a scam with that sticker on the back. A bad Italian job according to the kbd layout. It's seems to be a '90s clicky cherry, but I let the word to someone more savvy. The pvc manufacturing is the warranty of a bright future, though.

Yeah that's an NMB rt102, it has clicky space invader switches, otherwise called hi-tek 725 series black

FWIW, even if it was a Model M, that part number is for the rubber-dome version.

I don't see that keyboard on subito.it anymore.

Very interesting. It's looks same as the NMB RT-8271CFC, with Hi-Tek 725 series switch.
I thought the label should be the owner took from the original Model M.(or he upload the wrong photo) If not, it's the never seen fake Model M.
You should ask the seller take a shot which switch it has,especially the space bar.
It worth to buy it!
