Oh, OK... I why didn't you tell me? :P anyhow, I'll keep an eye out. What day specifically did you ship on?

OK, it arrived today. In answer to my earlier question and anyone else who wants to know, the reason that M9 caps aren't compatible with MX switches is that the stems are thicker. I may have go at filing them down so that the cap can go down into the switch.

I based my original order off of the inventory list on the 1st page for Brown NN plate mount (without pins) but it seems as if those are "out of stock". Aside from having to manually remove the pins for hand-wiring, is there any reason not to switch to the brown NW PCM and Plate mount (with pins) since they are in stock?

Posted: 08 Dec 2015, 18:56
by 7bit
They are the same swtiches. Just with the 2 pins, required for PCB-mounting. If you mount them to a Phantom, Hyper (soon!), ErgoDoxm or GH60 PCB, they have holes for the pins, so no problem.

Hand-wiring: I don't think they would get much into the way.

Ok cool. I have already paid for the NN type switches so how would I go about updating my order to be for the NW type instead?

I don't think pins is the right term... In this area pin is already used for an electrical connection pin. Plug is a better word.
