Is this gonna have that same NICE finish of Round4 SPHericals?

I have to buy lots of keys to make HONEY/TKL with REDs instead of GREYs, right?

Is this one going to have the same SHIF T and the right side gap on the modifier keys as Round4?

I hope SP will be able to make it SHIFT this time, with a narrow or no gap between F and T.

Kinda get comfort from the SHIF T in a Wabi-sabi kind of way.

Authentic SHIF T is fine with me.

I don't see the problem on my Round 1 "Shift" key...

There is too much gap between SHIF and T, unlike the Honeywell.

Yeah, the SHIF T is kinda charming... but the keys that leave gaps on the sides are a little ugly.

For the 3243rd time:
The SHIFTs will be 2.25 and 2.75 units because they made the tools for the Filco key caps!

I've made some updates and re-arrangements.

I\ and >< are no longer part of the ALPHA kits. I've added these to the language kits and it is also possible to buy them as single keys.

There is now an HONEY/ALPHAUK kit.
HONEY/ALPHAINT/RED is now with keys from rows 1 to 4 (as any other red stuff is now), but is only suitable for DE, DK, NO, SE.

There is a separate HONEY/UK/RED kit.

It might be an annoyingly long list of separate options, but in this group buy you get almost everything you ever need!

I dont think I seen it posted in the thread before, bit should not the HONEY/ALPHAINT be 1-4 row and not all 3? Just as the other kits?

Awesome 7bit! Can you list the sizes of the modifiers in e.g., the sixty, forty, and the mod kits? I need rather a lot of 1.5 unit & 2 unit keys, and would rather not get the ErgoDox kit which has them all blank.

Also, is there any way we can bundle our order with a bunch of cherry switches?

You need to order them through CherryMX and add a note into the address field of the CherryMX order that they should be shipped along with Round 5.

Maybe I set something up to do this automatically. There is already the GH60 tag, so maybe a ROUND5 tag would do it ...


OK, just send ROUND5 to CherryMX and it will be shipped along with ROUND5 and you save 4 EUR.

And the dimensions on 1.5/1.25 unit mods? After looking at all the diagrams they start to look the same

extra keys: SHIFT, CONTROL etc are 1.75 units
OPTION, COMMAND are 1.25
ALT, ALT GRAPH, CONTROL are 1.5 units

regular keys:
row 1: BACK SPACE is 2 units
row 2: TAB and \| are 1.5 units
row 3: 1.75 units CAPS LOCK, 2.25 units RETURN
row 4: 2.25 units SHIFT left, 2.75 units SHIFT right (both row are 3 profile)
row 3: all 1.25 units keys

But have you had any thoughts on WEB/HOME/CHROME on HONEY/FUNCTION2/RED? And maybe a FIREFOX(to long?)/FOX/FF for the firefox users(I dont think IE is to popular in this type of target group)?

Any thoughts on the apparently still undefined function legends (besides RECORD)? I see dirge really got his function key row, so what about that deep dish row 3 HOME for the 3270 style cursors? Or more realistically, could we order single blank deep dish keys please?

so are the red and black keys going to be row 1-4 now and the wiki is just not updated yet or am I missing something?

I really interested in Round 5. But i still have some misunderstood when i choose some package and mix them together.

I love red color, so i will talk about it.

Firtly, HONEY_TKL_RED package (http://deskthority.net/w/images/e/eb/HONEY_TKL_RED.png) have all in R3 with alpha bet and modifier package. And you have one option for anybody use ISO layout. They can buy HONEY_TKLISOBASE_RED package (http://deskthority.net/wiki/File:HONEY_ ... SE_RED.png)

If you really like to buy HONEY_ALPHA_RED package (http://deskthority.net/w/images/f/f2/HO ... HA_RED.png), This package have alphabet from R1 to R4. So i dont have any modifier package to mix with it. Because all modier package that you created in R3 only, especially in RED color

Yes, all row 3 is passé.

Most of the wiki is updated. I will upload more graphics soon.

I've thrown out the 1.5 units modifiers from SE, NO and DK kits. They are now available separatly in 3 different colors (look for Single keys):
HONEY/ASTQUOTE150
HONEY/ASTQUOTE150/GREY
HONEY/ASTQUOTE150/RED

They are $1 each.

No the last graphic is no mistake! the SHIFT key sizes are all only available in row 3 which is no problem aestetically.

I will add this as well.

Now just think of what all these red keys will look like with R4 SPH's blue! And then R4's greys with R5's black mods.

Hint to 7bit: plenty of people missed out on Round 4. If you want to boost your order, a little rerun perhaps?
