Massachusetts. I've already sent a PM to someone who might be nearby.

Damn it! I thought I found a miracle - a complete IBM 3278, full working terminal - monitor and keyboard with APL keycaps. I was all ready to order, when I looked at the quantity available and it showed... "0".

Psyche! I hate when that happens.

I've got a famous saying, "I don't give two shits about Massachusetts."
(actually, I've got nothing against Massachusetts, but it's a nice rhyme :D)

Oh yeah? Well I've got powerful friends in Washington. One call and I could get New York moved to South Dakota. (...maybe two calls...)

I'm told by those who will remain nameless that unspecified individuals may be working on this. But you didn't hear it from me…

I'm already conspiring with a forum member to get these. If you're interested, I'd rather you contact me than bid this up unnecessarily. Personally I don't need any of these keyboards but this is too interesting to pass up.

8 available? Very nice. If as expensive as you'd expect.

Hmm… free shipping in America.

Oh these old things. There are two variants of a similar keyboard. HaaTa already took some nice pictures of these:

They are Brother rubber dome over membrane.

They look like inlay high quality domes. If all domes where made like that we would have less of a problem with shit dome keyboard that fall apart in 3 months. i have seen newer lenovo keyboard lose lettering in less than 3 months, and not even in that of a high use environment relatively, i just don't understand it , sure they are considered a comsumable now , but don't you at least want to give the impression of quality in your products , after all you can spend loads of money on that loverly case for your M92p lenovo ( and it is a bloody well made case by the way) but the user is not going to be touching that all day . they will be using the keyboard and mouse , so at least put a little effort in.

RAFI Hall Effect and NEC blue ovals just arrived. I was able to make an offer on both and combine shipping. Never hurts to ask!

Compared to the other very pristine hall effect I got from webwit (for like 10x the price...) this one is quite dirty. Strangely F2, F4, F7 and F8, arrow up, arrow deown, and the Numpad are the shiniest. I'm guessing this was a point of sale board. B, N, and M are very badly scratched. But, hall effect boards are damn near indestructible. I'm typing on it right now.

The blue ovals board is in better shape. The case is cracked, it too is filthy, and some screws are missing. Some keys are shiny. I'm typing on it now (switched keyboards after the last paragraph). I had forgotten that blue ovals are kind of ringy-y.

These two aren't for sale yet. But they might be at some point!

Great find! If it makes you feel better, you got mine for less than I paid, and the retail price is insane. Sixty loved this one, he was all into linear. The action is super smooth, but I'm more into tactile switches.

Yeah these retail for like $500. I asked! :o

The only thing I don't like about these is how heavy the Enter key is. I need to move some springs around. I joke that every keyboard comes with three spare sets of keys and switches - Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause/Break. I'll just make the Pause/Break key super heavy since I never ever use it. Who does use it?

I do. That trio is F13, F14 and F15 on a Mac, and they're good for putting media functions on.

Depending on the board, I also tend to put either Mute, Vol-, Vol+ or Play/Pause, Prev track, Next Track on those keys

Aw man I would love one of these but I just don't have the $$$ right now... :(

I've searched the webs for this but no one cares to explain. In another thread, it was an IBM with Cherry M8 or M9 switches or something. But what does it have to do with Topre?

Basically the first topre boards made by IBM I believe.

I would love one but can't afford right now :(
