That's the ugliest keyboard of the 2022.... So far.

It's beautiful! A shame it's not the Alps version

Funny the company name is called Jizz.

The White Alps sound so good!

taeha's sounds tends to be a little off. I would not expect white alps to sound quite like that deep IRL, at least not in that board

I thought he was known for modifying the sound on his videos…

That's why the keyboard is named "Magic Wand". I can understand what kind of wand we're talking about... ;)

Have heard that as well but idk if he does or not. Either rate whatever his setup is it makes the recording sound weird regardless of what's causing that discrepancy.

It is possible to get white alps to sound like that naturally, but that board (and especially those caps) aren't the way to achieve that.

By far the ugliest board I've seen, but I do love that the owner uses it,the notches on the keys for the Numpad layer are a very nice touch.
I think this one is super unique and kinda charming. Looks like a pirate-keyboard. The case on the other hand...
Unironically now a personal Goal to make a board like this.

I will fall on my sword and say I made this one myself. And no that is not a render, that is what it looks like IRL, the 3D outline carved into the keycaps gives it a cel shaded effect. If you look closely at the key edges they were all manually carved. It sits unironically beside my 6 Model Ms.....

Honestly, before reading your text, I looked at the pic and thought “nicely done.” It’s not ugly. There’s symmetry to the lighting, and right enough a neon Tokyo kind of look. This is how the future looked in anime around the turn of the century. You done good.

I really like it! Definitely not ugly - it's not appropriate for every desk, but it's very cool.

I agree with the others. That's actually a really cool effect and I'd say you nailed it. People would definitely buy that look for sure.

This is the best picture I've seen of it so far. It looks like somebody made a toddler's busy-board from an old cafeteria tray. Then there's the so-called value add. Grab any QMK board with a knob and OLED and a dozen relegendable caps, then dare a coder on a Discord server that they couldn't recreate the counter and timer functionality in an hour, assuming you're not such a coder already :D

I did the counter functionality in my own firmware almost two years ago. It's a keystroke counter, but realistically, I've never broken one million keystrokes before either the host machine got powered-off or the OLED decided to lock itself up.

I think the Freewriter is supposed to be a "word counter," but I can't imagine the logic is much more sophisticated than "any key + space means Counter goes up."
