I thought Matias ALPS were Cherry compatible - but what I read suggests that it won't be compatible?

Nope, they're not. They use the ALPS mount (also previously called Z-mount in places).

The keyboard's PCB can be designed with cunning to accept both Alps and MX switches. But that's the end of the trick. Those switch families are fundamentally incompatible when it comes to caps. Or indeed 99.999% of PCBs out there, either.
Matias / Alps switches are nice, but carry a lot of baggage thanks to this.

I'm very interested in this, I would probably be boring and go for a poker 2 layout, but having soldered it together myself makes it _so_ much better, right?

Yes, this is possible to happen. I'm currently working on the designs.

Looks reasonably nice. Needs some legends on it for us to spot the gotchas, mind!

Later. First we have to see if it works at all.

Can't wait! I think I will hold out for the final/revised version, and/or when we have a case in the mix, to order. Made sure to include a bunch of HyperMicro options in my Round 5 order!

Any plans on the HyperMini at all?

Good point, would definitely be in for one if/when they are available
I suspect the focus will now been on Matt3o's build first, but afterwards will it be the HyperMini's turn?

I'm currently working on all designs. I plan to have them finished before the Round 5 key caps arrive.
I will order the prototypes along the HyperMicro 2nd prototype series (which might become the main series).

Has this ever been produced? I’d be very curious about a pcb that supports a lot of thumb keys.

The PCBs exist, the plates, I must try if the DXF-files will now work out.

Are there any keyboard layout editor links that will work with these pcb?
You can just create the CAD designs from KLE configurations.

Any updates for the hypermini?

Hi,
I have been looking for a PCB which allows shorter space bar, and it seems that HyperMini is the only one I can find so far.
So I am very interested if this PCB has been manufactured and works well?
Is it available to order?
Hope to get good news, thanks.
