So, there is a difference of opinions. @terrycherry says it's a Chicony, while @Chyros claims it's a Focus.
My question is, if it's a Chicony, why would they print "Focus FK-727/747" on the PCB?

by Chyros
Surely it's not a Chicony Oo .
The Tai-Hao looks a lot like it, but it uses the Cherry-style keycaps, while the board Norolim posted uses Focus-style doubleshot keycaps instead (they look more or less identical to the ones on the first- and second-generation Focus boards). Ironically, those keycaps are said to be made by Tai-Hao, while the ones on the Tai-Hao might have been made by someone else xD .

I don't think it's either. This is also a SKB 5050 that looks like a MX clone or SMK:

It's the same seller that we got the Fame boards from...I'm tempted just to find out. The seller is commercial and has to take it back.

Great found seebart!
This keyboard is MX mount. It could be one of the HTK-like switch or the NTC switch(new switch I found).

I'm assuming that this keyboard isn't mechanical, right?
Given the fact that it's from '97, it has a very high chance of using rubber domes. But the fact that it has a built in touchpad may suggest the presence of a PCB. I'm not too sure.

Does someone what those keyboards are, specifically what type of switches is has?
Apparently it's a full metal Nixdorf keyboard, but besides that I have no idea, and couldn't find any information about it.

OK. Thanks for your help, guys. I'll do more research, but for now I'm assuming the keyboard is a Focus Fk-727.

Anyone know what kind of switches this would have?

I've got another one. Anyone knows what these are:
I've got my guesses, but I don't want to muddy the waters. It says something like "D TRANS" on the switch housing. It's really difficult to decipher, even when looking at the actual thing.

Sure it doesn't say OMRON?

The slider looks different on Omron B3G-S series, not sure if it might be another Omron switch though.

Yeah, orange Omron has tabs. The keyboard I found it in is Costar CSK-1102S (the internets have nothing about it).

I'm guessing KPT or a KPT-like switch?

Chyros wrote: I'm guessing KPT or a KPT-like switch?
Yeah the KPT often has a thin edged "bare" slider like that. A little like SMK Alps mount also. The slider color is relative.

Great found! That is the alps.tw Type OD1(D-TRNS) switch. alps.tw said it has the yellow variant.

Could you mind take more photo of keyboard and internal?(especially the switch)

Is there an FCC number anywhere on it? Can you post a picture showing the whole keyboard?
Nice find, by the way
Edit: OK so we had a CSK-1101 a few years ago
posted here. It has Omrons and Alps Compact switches. I am guessing the CSK-1102 falls under one of the
other FCC ID numbers for the 1101, which is exactly how the CSK-7102 is:

The FCC ID is GS23TYCSK-1101S. Apparently Costar made a keyboard for
Wang with the same FCC ID and it uses Omron B3G-S switches. It's possible that these are Omoron with flat sliders, that are not yet documented on the Webs, but I think it is more likely terrycherry is correct this time and the switches are alps.tw Type OD1.
I didn't get the keyboard yet, so i can only post the seller's pictures:
BTW. my initial guess, before I searched by FCC, was KPT-like.

Which Apple keyboard is this and would it be difficu to convert to USB?
Posted: 30 May 2016, 19:29
by Nuum
It's an Apple M0118 and can be converted to USB with Hasu's converter or a simple ADB to USB adaptor like the Griffin iMate.

KPT-like switch is absolutely not like this switch. I knew it, I have some keyboard with KPT switches and KPT-like switches.
Take it! It's very rare to see. And I hope to see the internal about this variant.

I just posted a
new topic about that Costar keyboard, I asked about above.

Appears to be made by ACT, potentially for their Apricot system. The switches are likely foam and foil based on the key shape and LED placement. You can see a similar model here which is almost guaranteed to be Keytronic F&F.
