Hey guys, a month or two ago someone posted about those Arabic Alps keyboards that were being sold. I'd highly recommend not buying those as the seller (compworld-it) is impossible to work with. I tried for over a month to figure out where the keyboard was with no communication with them other than one short message in Italian, so I had to open a case with eBay. eBay finally gave a refund so I left a negative feedback and received a very nasty message back that was suddenly in perfect English...

Blaise170, I got one of those myself and it was fine. The shipping was ridiculous (15 euro for a 2 euro keyboard) and it took a long time to arrive (several weeks) but the keyboard itself was very nice. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience though.

It was estimated to arrive in July, it's now midway through August and the tracking number still shows absolutely nothing. Anyways, I don't mean to derail the thread.

Got more details / pics of the keyboard ?

Groupbuy time??

9x NMB RT6673TGR - no real info on this model but the seller claims it's an "industrial keyboard". (industrial quality? extreme longevity? mechanical???)

Only two more pictures.

These are the only bits of information I found. One guy on computerbase who wanted to buy it but didn't know what it was either. He never reported back on it so I don't know if he didn't buy it or simply didn't enjoy it much.
The other guy was on 3dcenter.org and said his worked for 12 years, it was perfect for him and a new one was not an option. No word on whether mechanical or not but he said he tried a G80 with blacks and he found the travel "too long".
Anyone up for this?

This is the type of dome with slider that's in some of the Dell Quietkeys that are supposedly highly rated. I've got one of them. They're definitely better than normal rubber domes, but not mechanical obviously (and if you do want a proper rubber dome keyboard, get a BTC dome with slider over PCB board.

According to my research of this model a few days ago the japanese version of this keyboard (NMB RT6674TJP [scroll down a little bit]) uses rubberdomes, so yeah, probably NMB dome with slider.

Great links, Seeebart!

The price for the NovaTouch TKL seems to have gone down lately. A new one is 140 € now from getdigital.de:

Thanks for your posts on this thread seebart, I am sure many people use it for buying. I am not a collector but I learn and enjoy a lot only watching your links.

Interesting, but 11€ for a g80-1502 with thin pbt keycaps isn't that cheap.
I have seen some weeks ago some similar keyboards on ebay going away for under 10€ (shipped in germany).

A Model F XT with a foam and foil XT board. Maybe the seller would just ship you one to save on shipping.

I've seen them go for relatively high prices before, I wonder what people do with them or what makes them so interesting for collectors.

I have no clue. I've passed up several KAYPRO IIs - both the whole systems and just the keyboards.

I had a Kaypro 4 back in the day. Awesome little CP/M machine. I wouldn't bother with a Kaypro II.
